Stayed here for 3 nights in January with a large group. The Bamboo Huts are very rustic style and basic with a bed, small table and bathroom. Waterheater not working nor were they in all the other rooms rented by friends. Mattress typical Thai style and very firm which was fine by me but not for others in group who...

The people are very nice, went there late at night and they welcomed us and prepared dinner for us even if the kitchen was closed. They also have a nice selection of Inca tea and Inca products that are made by themselves. They collect the leaves and do all the processing. Should try it. The campfire was also nice to...

the girl who welcomed us wanted to cook our diner. we agreed... the only thing she did was cook some rice and for the rest she went to the village to get ready made food. we were the only 2 guests so we understood this, wasn't it for that the food was almost cold when surved... when we got the...

We stayed here for 4 nights over the Christmas period. The huts are basic and rustic but they were clean and spacious. Ken and his family were great hosts and very helpful and accommodating with our needs and interests. This place has a very nice atmosphere and we were treated like one of the family. Breakfast was basic and plentiful...

We ended up here when our first choice fell through. The pictures looked good, so although more than we would normally pay, we thought we would give it a try as we only needed it for one night. By the time we arrived it was dark, so we had little choice but to stay, otherwise we would have to go...

This spot gets only an average rating overall because it was definitely not as well-kept as the photos online suggest...But that said this place and it's owner, Ken, are magic. My wife and kids and I loved the stay but for the first few hours of our arrival we were a bit frustrated by the run down state of the...

What an experience. We had just left the hustle and bustle of Bangkok a few days prior to our arrival. Spent a night or two in Chiang Mai where we rented our scooters(HIGHLY RECOMMENDED). Take a bike and ride north from Chiang Mai. Head northwest towards Pai(107 North to 1095 West) to get to the lodge. Kind of hard to...

We had a pretty good time here - we spent New Years here in December 2014/Jan 2015. The grounds are simple, beautiful and secluded. The huts are rustic, and have running water and a toilet. The beds are hard but I like that, and the hosts are genuine, kind and helpful. But know what you are getting into. Ken will...

this is a long overdue review for Bamboo country lodge & I apologize for the delay. Stayed there for the first night and got hooked to staying longer for one more. Staff and owner Ken was very helpful and accommodating. Lovely, peaceful atmosphere, when you wake up in the morning, all you hear is dew drops, birds and seeing the...

First of all, the Bamboo Country Lodge is located in a wonderful place, far from the road so it's very quiet. We have experienced two nights in the nature, hearing the sounds of the wild animals, mostly birds. We have really enjoyed the rustic huts made in bamboo (only the bathroom is made in concrete). No mosquitos inside, and in...

“To get hot water out of the shower I suggest you take the shower head off, turn the water on only a little bit, and put your thumb over the hose to cause the pressure to rise on a minimal flow of water - you can get it really hot that way, although you don't get very much water. There are dengue mosquitoes. Bring repellant”
