We've stayed here a couple of times in five different rooms. Every time we were welcomed warmly by the owners and the staff. Every room was/is very clean and quiet. The breakfast was included and there is more than you normally get. Coffee, tea, juice, varieties of ham and cheese, butter, marmalade and Nutella, white/dark bread, yoghurt, fruits, buns and...

Hiking through the region, we wanted a simple overnight stay. The room was simple but pleasant, and the bed was of good quality and extremely comfortable. The duvet was even long enough for my tall husband. Ideal stop for the motorway from the Gottard to Bellinzona, or for hiking the Strada Alta. One big bonus is the superb restaurant attached...

We were on our way to home from italy and this hotel was perfectly located for the night-over. There seemed a traffic jam before the gothard tunnel so ... The restaurant is a flashback to the 50'ies. The food was good and the service was exceptional. Wine list is excellent. Rooms were ok but a bit dated. Price-quality wise super...

We arrived in the evening at this hotel on the way to our destination in Italy. Lavorgo is an very small village and there's a train station on the opposite of the hotel. Eventhough the "receptionist" (who had a multifunctional job) didn't speak English very well, she was friendly and showed us the room. The rooms are quite vintage. There's...

We choose this hotel as stopover from the Netherlands to Milan. The price is good for Switserland (Euro 95) but the hotel is very basic/old fashioned so do not expect too much. Everything you need is in the room: cable tv (with Dutch chanel!), free wifi, good shower and the room is clean! Only minus is too much not matching...

We were travelling down to Italy & decided to turn off the motorway for a break & some lunch. We had no real idea where we were heading but happened to come across this superb little place. The place is typical Swiss style but the two standout things were the food & service - both were simply excellent! All ingredients...

We stayed here on our way to Italy. This friendly hotel is nicely located for a stopover: close to the highway, near the Gotthard tunnel. We enjoyed Italian-style dinner on the terrace of the good restaurant. Some drawbacks: the old and very basic furnishing (no fridge), the railway just across the street (could use some ear plugs during the night),...

On the way to Southern France stright after the St. Gotthard tunnel is this small, cosy and old familyhotel with a long history. The hotel room was large, old fashioned furnished - feeling like in the 50es or 60es. A very large comfortable bed. Very nice and handsome wellcoming by the host. We eat a very good menu with lokal...
