We've stayed two days in a double room. Very clean and friendly service! Try the restaurant in the house, the food is really great. Next time we'll try a cabin-house because they seem to be very cosy. Nice place for biking, fishing and hiking.

I warmly recommend this charming hotel where I stayed last week. As it was close to Christmas the hotel was decorated with lots of Father Christmas's, in all shapes and sizes, or "tomtar" in Swedish, and there were Christmas trees and candle lights everywhere. The rooms are lovely in an oldfashioned way and I especially liked the wooden floors. We...

Unfortunately we only stayed one night at this fantastic place. I wish we can return soon. We (2 adults and 2 children) had one of the cottages which had nice beds, a rather well equipped kitchen and fantastic furniture. Bathroom clean. Fantastic breakfast as well.

There are a few rooms in the main hotel building, but we stayed in the self-catering wooden cottages. They are actually very well-constructed in a quiet wooded area just off the main road through Simlangsdalen, and are in a great location for visiting the beautiful countryside around the town. The furnishings were old-fashioned, but acceptable (although our cottage was missing...

We have been here before, and this time we tried the three main course dinner. Both the chicken and fish were delicious. They also have a good selection of spirits. The interior is old but alot of fun stuff too look at.

This is not a "standard" hotel, you'll come away feeling like you've had a unique experience. Lotte the owner is very friendly, and will charm you once you have her started. The hotel is decorated in a eclectic mix of odds and sods and decorations picked up from all around the world by the original, and previous, owner of the...

I don't think we ever felt more in need of a hotel than this time, having traveled all day and then being turned down by all the coastside hotels. Tallhojden was the first hotel we encountered after turning inland and they solved all our problems by setting us down for dinner while arranging rooms in a nearby bed&breakfast (serving breakfast...

We stayed here for 1 night on the way to Oslo and was not disappointed. This hotel is about 18 km from the highway but it's worth 15 mins driving there. The hotel's decoration is unique and we liked it very much. The room is a bit old and small but the bed is quite comfortable. The food is very good...

Stayed in a cabin behind the main building. The cabin was spacious and could room 5 people. The place was musky and a bit dusty. The bed was narrow and hard although the other rooms were equipped with better beds. If someone snores in the room in the opposite of the cabin you'll hear it... The main building which contains...
