We stayed in friendly Hotell Vaxblekaregården in Eksjö for one night. The hotel is an old wooden house in the centre of Eksjö and you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our room was small but very cosy, it was clean and so was the bathroom. Breakfast was fine and the staff very nice.

Had lunch here today and the food, service, ambience and decor were all first rate. We had their Daily Lunch, served Monday to Friday, which includes salad (serve yourself salad from bowls of lovely fresh ingredients), a choice of artisan breads and butter, a choice from two mains, usually one fish and one meat, water, coffee or herbal tea and...

Stay one night at this hotel. Lovely restaurant area with outdoor seating at the rear of the property. We were able to leave our vehicle overnight free of charge in the public car park at the back of the hotel. Our room was in a building next door to reception. The room was very clean and had an exceptionally comfortable...

This hotel is in a 17th century building, modernized. The room was large, clean, and had a great view of the street. The breakfast was expansive and good. This hotel is in the old town so handy to the history of the area. The hotel and Eksjö are lovely. The staff was helpful and friendly.

My sister and her family came to visit me and stayed in this hotel. I did the booking and met the kind personal. He show me the room, and the fasciities. I fall in love with this hotel, so my sister and family. Right in the centrum, among the wooden old town which are build around year 1600. So nice!,

I would describe this as a guest house, rather than a hotel. It is small scale, really nothing but a few rooms and a small breakfast area. There are no amenities and the place seems to be run entirely by one person (who was very friendly). Supposedly, we had the two best rooms of the hotel and they were perfectly...

Ok, so you want to open a hotel in a small town with 15.000 inhabitants. What do you go for? Creating a generic hotel experience, a place to sleep, or go one step further to try to create a authentic experience? The owners of this hotel choose the second option. The hotel is located in a old wooden house and...

The hotel is set right in the middle of the old wooden town of Eksjö, in an old workshop. The rooms are comfortable and the design fits in quite well with the surroundings. Staff was very helpful. The only feature of the hotel that left something to wish for was the somewhat uninspired breakfast.

We were looking to spend one night of luxury in a hotel near the family after spending 5 nights in a self catering guest flat for next-to-nothing. Unfortunately we were hugely disappointed. The room was clean and comfortable, but we had to ask for sufficient milk and coffee and the television only provided Swedish and German as did the guest...

Listed builing in the heart of the old quarter. Beautifully maintained in keeping with the character of the place. Room and bathroom quite small, but had everything we needed. Excellent breakfast. Don't be put off by the arrangement whereby you check availability and obtain your room by telephone, it works.
