We stayed in one of the bunk houses which are fairly basic but adequate (you don't comet this lodge for the accommodation but for the birds). There are two beds, some pans/eating utensils and linen and towels are provided. There are no shower or toilet in the bunkhouses. The bunkhouses are 90 aud per night for two people and they...

Its been my dream for years to get here and our 3 day stay was heaven. Andrews morning walk with 50 birds was unforgetable-a beautiful oasis type property-bird lovers only. I wish Carol had been free for a day guided trip-next time

This accommodation caters for camping, and basic bunkhouses, through to self- contained units. Mum and I stayed 4 nights in a 2 bed (double and single) self-contained unit. It was basic but very clean and sufficient for our needs. No TV, no phone reception and no internet (you can pay a small fee for wifi) so if you want to...

We stayed for 5 nights, during unseasonal rainy weather, but still saw plenty of birds! It truly is all about the birds. We had a comfortable spacious and very clean 2 bedroom cabin, which gave us a private verandah, from which we could enjoy the many species of birds. We also really benefitted from our walks with Carole an expert...

Heaps of room in our 2 bedroom cabin. Carol & Andrew provided heaps of birding tips and were keen to attend to any needs we might have had. Really relaxing, peaceful place. They are working hard to keep ahead of some ageing buildings! Expect to see many binoculars and big cameras

I visited Kingfisher Park in mid April and spent a very comfortable night there. The rooms are well equipped and the bed was comfortable. The birding was wonderful. Many new birds for me just a short walk from the lodge. The couple who own the place were very friendly and accommodating. I mistakenly left a small item there and they...

A natural starting point for any wildlife enthusiast who visits north Queensland should be this little-known oasis set against a beautiful rainforest backdrop. Run by enthusiastic and knowledgeable hosts in Carol and Richard , Kingfisher Lodge is a must for birders , both local and overseas. You can relax in self-contained rooms or share the budget bunkhouse accommodation , depending...

My wife and I stayed four nights in the "Blue-Faced Finch Suite". It had a well equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, and microwave. The room had two beds, we only used one and it was firm and very comfortable. The shower always had hot water. The owners do a great job with maintenance, and pay attention to detail, which...

We stayed 3 nights. The owner was friendly and helpful and gave us loads of info about the various birds and other wildlife. The main thing that sets this site apart as a campsite is the space. Loads of it. And no kids, no noise etc. Lots of nature was around us, we even managed to catch a glimpse of...
