With the extended long weekend, my husband and I decided on a quick getaway. It's difficult to find a place knowing that everyone already made their plans for the Labor Day holiday. Luckily, I found the Sonya's Garden cottages in Airbnb and it was confirmed on the same day. The Petunia Cottage is located in the extended property, a 3-5...

A little out of the way, but worth visiting. It's about a 5 minute drive down a winding road. When we came for lunch, they told us we had to take the buffet. Very fresh ingredients, but only 2 entrees, one of which was pasta with sauces. Fresh fruits and vegies. Great ambience, looks like it's set for a wedding....

A must visit place for those who are looking for a complete relaxation. It is a place where you can restore your energy and mind. Though television and air conditioning are purposely not available in this place, you'll enjoy the fact that life is not about what we WANT, but rather what we NEED. In addition, the rooms are tidy,...

Sonya's Garden is one of my favorite places to stay in Tagaytay. The rooms are fan-cooled but we often don't even turn them on as the big windows help cool air circulate around the room. There's no television inside the rooms which are filled by some of the owner's personal memorabilia. The toiletries are handmade and smell really nice, you...

I absolutely adored this place! I was here one night for a friend's wedding. Sonya's put a lot of heart into this place because the attention to detail is like awe inspiring. The rooms are whimsical cottages surrounded by lush gardens. I barely wanted to leave my tranquil room (and bathroom) except that I would miss the garden and those...

Celebrating anniversary is indeed great at Sonya's Garden. It's a total shift from the busy city to a serene and amazing garden. Thought we had a good deal having a big room, good and healthy food (dinner and breakfast) and a private tour of the farm - not to mention freebies of lettuce and herbal plant. Good deal for us.

Staying in one of the rooms in Sonya's B&B feels like going on a retreat. It's very quiet and relaxing. 2 meals (dinner and breakfast) are included when you book a room. If you want to have a 3rd meal (lunch, for example), they could prepare a different meal for you upon request (we had fried chicken). The rooms do...

This place can become too crowded for relaxation. Weekenders at Tagaytay almost always make it a point to drop by here for their breads! We loved their Spanish bread and Cheese Hopia. Dropped by their Apothecary to check new products most of which claim to be of organically sourced. They also sell organic veggies which may cost a bit more...

Best time to visit Sonya's Garden is during December - February when it's literally like your room has air conditioning all day, especially at night. The people are very warm and welcoming. The garden is just amazingly lovely and beautiful. If there's somewhere you want to do nothing, Sonya's Garden is the perfect place.

I hadn't eaten in Sonya's in quite a number of years. So when my daughter's birthday came up, I wanted her and my son to experience the ambiance and good food at Sonya's that I remembered. I know the place had expanded a lot through the years but I was expecting the same quality that my family and friends enjoyed...
