So enjoyed my stay here I came to Chiang Mai for 2 weeks and my first stay was at Sanjana so I could unwind after my flight. Apart from 2 nights in Chiang Rai which the hotel arranged for me, I ended up staying there the whole time. The hotel is in the countryside with fantastic views all around. The villa was very stylish, well maintained and equipped and also extremely comfortable, especially the bed. Sitting on my terrace watching the fish, the birds and the activity in the fields with the farmers was very relaxing. The facilities of the resort were far more than I expected as there are only 5 villas in total. Great swimming pool and the gym although small, was sufficient for me. The food in the restaurant was very good and the menu varied. I felt like royalty staying here as nothing was too much trouble for the staff and owners. I struggle to write anything negative as its an amazing place and I hope to go back there on my next Thailand trip.

I recently stayed at Sanjana Resort and Spa for 10days over Christmas, and all I can say is wow, wow, wow! It is a small boutique resort situated on a quiet stretch in one of Thailands most popular locations, Chiang Mai, and is only a 20min drive from Chiang Mai Airport. It offers laid-back luxury and a chance to truly unwind and indulge in blissful spa treatments, quality salt water pool time, delicious food and signature cocktails – all in gorgeous, tranquil and unique Thailand surroundings.  The views at Sanjana are to die for, the staff are super friendly and always accomodating and if you want to see how the local farmers harvest their rice fields, chilli crops and onions, then a stay at Sanjana will truly inspire. And their inhouse resturant, Peppercorns, uses only local produce and nothing is too hard for the talented chef Toy. Highly recommend Sanjana on many levels.

We came here to stay after coming for lunch one day. What an amazing place! and only half an hour away from the old city walls. The detached villas are large, beautiful and very stylish. They hang over the water which has hundreds of fish that entertained us at feeding time while we sat on the balcony (its worth getting up for the beautiful sunrise as well). There is a massive swimming pool, a small gym, loads of nice places to chill out and a bar with Tony to serve us with his great mocktails. I wrote a separate review of the restaurant which was first class. We felt really special as the staff were so friendly and kind to us. There are only 4 villas which made it intimate and it felt like our own private place. We will definitely be back and have already recommended to friends. Thank You everyone at Sanjana for a wonderful experience.

From the moment we were greeted by Sanjana’s charming staff on arrival everything was wonderful. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed with great attention to detail, and the private balcony with comfortable seating overlooking the paddy fields and mountains is fabulous. The public areas around the pool are also very well thought out with various lounging options meaning, even if the resort is full guests can find a nice spot to soak up the atmosphere. Additional to the great facilities, the restaurant is amazing we loved every dish we tried from the restaurant’s menu offering a nice balance expertly executed Thai and Western options and perfectly mixed cocktails. The world-class spa treatments were also very well received. Furthermore, due to its location, Sanjana offers an experience that hotels closer to Chiang Mai can’t compete with. The area is yet to be developed for tourism, so guests can experience an easily accessible slice of authentic rural Thai life using the resort’s bikes. Visiting really feels like you’ve discovered a secret gem! Thanks to the team for a great stay and we hope to visit again soon.

The peace and quiet was just what we wanted and in an area with incredible scenery which we enjoyed from our terrace. The villa was very tastefully done, we felt very comfortable and everything was there for us. Soaking in the bathtub looking out to the rice fields and mountains was certainly different! The staff were lovely and looked after us well during our stay. Food was superb in the restaurant. We will definitely recommend to friends and hope to go back sometime. stayed november
