Our 2nd trip on this excellent boat & again it didn’t disappoint. Great diving, fantastic boat crew & dive guides and a lovely group of other guests on board. The service from the boat crew & dive guides was first class & the food was great, even during the rough crossings to & from the islands. Great focus on safety too.
Had a wonderful 3 days at Soulmates. The retreat is set on a beautiful large piece of land. My days were spent lying by the pool, reading, sleeping, eating - repeat! I had stayed in the centre of Chiang Mai for a few nights so had done a lot of the touristy stuff already so it was so nice to just escape it all. Hosts Leigh and Ahn were more than accommodating and the meals were divine. The room was beautifully decorated and very spacious. I can't recommend Soulmates enough. It has 5 rooms so you are never bothered by anyone (if at full capacity). I would highly recommend this place as a solo traveller (like I was), a couple, or a large group so you have the whole place to yourself. Thanks so much for your wonderful hospitality. Cheers, Kim
My wife and I visited Soulmates retreat for one night in mid-late December. The place is fantastic, clean, the scenery is beautiful and the owner is very welcoming and friendly. If you want somewhere to get away from the hustle and bustle then this is the place to visit.
I've spent lots of time in Chiang Mai over the last several years, and sometimes I find wonderful places like Soulmates. It's so peaceful, at most there are only 5 rooms or so, so it can never be too busy. It's serene, well-designed, and the view from the room and the swimming pool overlooking the rice-fields is kind of meditative and brings a feeling of belonging. The owners are very welcoming and have great senses of humour, innately knowing when to give you space and when to interact. The garden has lots of plants and birds, and the swimming pool water is really lovely- not sure, but I think it's magnesium based- anyway, no feeling of chlorine. It's about 30 minutes out of Chiang Mai, but really that wasn't such a problem even without a motorbike/car- there was a local (yellow) bus that goes into one of the main markets in Chiang Mai. There's a little village nearby (walking distance- maybe 20 minutes?) and Doi Saket isn't far (not really walking distance though), but the magic of this place is that you are rural, surrounded by mountains, rice fields and an old feeling of Chiang Mai (which is fast changing into a modern, very busy city). I hope to go again and again - it's a haven.…
We made an inspection to this place and spent about a week in this resort. The view from the restaurant and from the swimming pool is wonderful, also the owner and the staff are very kind and helpful. We will definitely suggest this resort to our valuable customers. Thank you Mr. Lee ;-)
