I have visited Brantome many times and I have passed this small hotel / restaurant without really noticing it - it is outside the town centre and away from all the tourist type restaurants. Decided this year to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. This was easily the best meal that I have had in Brantome, and it...

The booking process was easy with my request for gluten free foods immediately responded to. Christophe welcomed us and showed us his gardens, rooms and amenities with humour and help. The courtyard room was well equipped with bathroom, separate toilet, hanging space and tea and coffee making devices. A comfortable bed with linen sheets and pillowcases. Our evening meal was...

We found this little gem and booked it via booking.com for a 1 night stay. Lovely and very well appointed modern rooms with a/c, coffee machine and lovely bathroom and amenities. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for the night when we were there so we could not experience the creativity of the owner/chef. Free wifi and a nice swimming-lane type...

We've just returned from a lovely long weekend staying in Brantome. Les Jardins de Brantome was a great place to stay. The couple who own and run the hotel and restaurant were extremely hospitable and helpful. The meals we ate, both on the terasse, were excellent and the wine list was very interesting and very good value. I would recommend...

The restaurant was recommended by our hotel. The evening before we had tried a michelin stared restaurant, but I must say that at least one of the dishes at Jardins de Brantome (Perigord mushrooms) was able to compete with what we ate there...minus the pretentiousness and artifice. I had the Perigord mushroms with local cheese and the lamb "crackelin" which...

Stayed in the family room for one night before going to a gite the following day - what a find! The hotel has a small number of rooms, all based in and around the private gardens at the rear, near the compact swimming pool (ideal for a dip after a long drive). The room we had was fabulously furnished and...

We were a party of 10 for a birthday celebration and couldn't have had a better meal. We all tried different dishes and had three courses. All the dishes were exquisite, and no one could fault the meal. We sat in the lovely garden in a fabulous location. The staff are very warm and friendly. Definitely worth a visit -...

Seriously delightful place that is not on the river in Brantome - which is probably a blessing. You HAVE to stay here because the owner Christophe will cook you the most delicious food for dinner with veg from his garden and other organic products are served at breakfast as well - he should have a Michelin star. Your bed will...

We arrived, great location, very close to the village. The rooms very small, no outlook, the worst linen we have ever experienced in our five weeks in France, the towels, did not absorb the water. The restaurant, very disappointing , especially after reading the good reviews. Very expensive and unhappy staff!!! Wine selection poor and bad recommendation.Maybe the chef had...
