A friend and I spent three wonderful days at this beautiful B & B, which has just about the best location in Sarlat. From the moment we walked in, we felt we had made the right choice for our stay in the Dordogne. We had arrived on the early train, so our room wasn't ready, but we were given a...

The location is near everything in the old city yet away from any noise. The family staff couldn't have been nicer. Richard was great for advice and assistance and Terri was a great resource for restaurant options. The breakfast was beyond expectations. C & D

I had a lovely stay at La Lanterne in Sarlat. All the staff is really kind and the house is very well located. The view from the grenier room is great and Richard's breakfasts were delicious. I'd have liked to stay longer. It's definitely a place to recommend.

We enjoyed our stay in La Lanterne very much, not only is the location ideal for enjoying the town of Sarlat, particularly the food market on Saturday, but the rooms are comfortable, the shared living room is lovely to relax in, and the Bowen family were friendly and most welcoming. Particularly nice is the courtyard - ideal for reading (and...

I just want to say thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality and helpful advice when I stayed with you in June 2013. You always remain dear in my thoughts and I will never forget Roy collecting me at the station late at night and his wonderfully dry, witty sense of humour. The rooms were so comfortable and the...

We were looking for somewhere close to Sarlat and all it has to offer and found this little gem run by the lovely british couple Terri and Roy. it is close enough to walk to the centre but is still very...

What a lovely night we spent here in our own little apartment. A lovely bedroom with kitchenette and bathroom. Situated in a quiet street just off the centre of the town. Very helpful host who booked a fantastic restaurant for us. Thank you very much. Sorry it's taken me so long to write this review!

Not being ones to return to the same place for the enjoyment of exploring new ones we decided Sarlat and in particular, La Lanterne, was well worth a re-visit. Our decision to go back couldn't have been better. La Lanterne had the same warm welcome we remember, it almost felt like we were coming home. The rooms again were very...

Beautiful B&B in central Sarlat. From the time you arrive until the time you leave you are welcomed like one of the family. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Richard's breakfasts are delicious and a work of art. He is ably assisted by Terri, Debbie, Leslie and Margaret to make sure your stay is one to remember. A...
