The setting is very pastoral and peaceful, with pond & geese & goats -- beside an equestrian center with a number of horses leisurely munching hay from large bales. Madame Perasy is always very friendly and helpful, and serves an excellent breakfast with a nice variety of items. And, it's just down the road from a large Super-U. Our room... More

The pictures are old, big trees are gone, and it looks different (not so good as in picture), so we bypassed initially. From booking information we did not understood, that it is one property - hotel and the guesthouse. It is more calm to be on the garden side, but in generally all noise from street can be heard. We’re... More

Had another very pleasant stay here -- we enjoy the slow season. Our chambre (#12) was bright and comfortable, tho we did miss having a shower (vs. tub with hand shower). Myriam is warm and welcoming, and she offers a nice spread at breakfast, in a comfortable, spacious setting. Although she no longer offers meals at lunch or dinner, there... More

I agree with most of the comments made about Le Chatellier, but .. so impersonal! Dining room had no murals. Young, very efficient man who managed the breakfast, but never said a word, though we tried. It is as though one owner has bought out another, or has gone into administration - empty tables, empty reception, not a soul in... More

About 2 km from the port of Cancale I found this hotel very good as a base for day trips to Mont Saint Michel ( not to be missed ) - 50 km north or Saint Malo 17 km south. Well placed in a green park , good restaurant , horse riding and typical France country architecture. An oasis of... More

A lovely hotel situated in a semi-rural location on the outskirts of Cancale. There are goats, geese, chickens and horses here. Le Chatellier is an offshoot from another hotel (Maison des Douets Fleuris) from where all functions are handled. Breakfast is served in Douets Fleuris, which is about a 100 metre walk past some very nice gardens. Also evening meals,... More

Situated on the outskirts of Cancale on the St Malo road, this hotel is located in beautiful grounds. The room was in the roof space (2nd floor) so was rather small, and did not have a shower, only a bath. Everything was clean and in working order although the bed was rather hard. The main downside was the fact that... More

The seven of us had a very pleasant stay here. We were warmly greeted and allowed to check-in a little early, so we were able to grab some sandwiches at the nearby Super-U and have a picnic in the public space of the hotel before heading over to Mont St Michel, about 45 mins away. Our triple & quadruple were... More

We picked this hotel primarily for its proximity to Mont Saint Michel and onsite restaurant. We were there just after the summer season so it was quiet and peaceful. The property actually consisted of 2 hotels - the main building Le Manoir des Douets Fleuris and the slightly detached Le Chatellier. We stayed in an attic room in the Chatellier... More

Had a very pleasant stay here. The rooms are very clean and well appointed, and the bathrooms are modern and very clean. Their coffee's nice and strong, there's a wide variety of food for breakfast, and fresh eggs were available for cooking to order. Their location is good for visiting not only Calcale, but also Dinan, Dinard, St-Malo, and even... More
