Both our rooms had balconies with a bay view. The double doors leading out to them made them a really good size - big enough for a table and chairs. The view over the bay was uninterrupted and great value. Watching people on the Quai and the oyster fishermen 'catching' their produce and transporting them from the slipway through the...

We wanted a quick easy bite for lunch as we had a long dinner planned. We chose this place as it was quite full and we both had the moule. My moule ala Breton must qualify as one of the best I have had and the moule ala creme was superb too Will definitely visit this restaurant for dinner at...

We booked 3 sea view rooms with balconies,11 12 and 14, and were delighted to find that we had adjoining rooms and the balconies could be connected. The rooms are very comfortable with good bathrooms. There are no tea and coffee facilities and only French TV. The restaurant is excellent for dinner and also serves an acceptable breakfast.

Nice location but you might want to rethink and stay elsewhere nearby. Room was OK but fairly basic for the price. My main criticism is that the management refused to honour our agreement on price and inclusions and charged me way more than agreed. I had negotiated for a full board price by email well ahead of my visit, and...

The fresh seafood and desserts were good, but the entrees here were melt-in-your-mouth sensational. I had the days special of a grilled merlu filet atop a creamed vegetable flan, with these delicious kettle onion crisps and a very light cream sauce for garnish. Oh my! My husband had a seafood sauerkraut that was way better than that sounds. :) The...

We liked the place instantly when we visited it a year earlier and while we stayed in St. Malo. Cancale is a charming authentic fishing village (specialized in Oysters and crustacé) and la Mere Champlain breathes this very atmosphere. Good quality fresh seafood dishes and amiable service. Very bright restaurant with a view on the boulevard and the bay. This...

We liked Chambre 32, three flights up (elevator available),a big room with a view of the port. The bathroom is spacious with late-model fixtures. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was one of the best dinners of our trip. We loved the Cancale oysters on the half shell, the cassolette (starter) and the choucroute de la mer (fish and shellfish in...

We stayed in a courtyard room which was extremely reasonable. Ocean views were considerably more expensive but we don't sit much in our room. The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the village with easy access to the local shops and sidewalk cafes.

We stayed here for a night in May before catching the ferry from St Malo to Portsmouth. The room had a view over the sea across the oyster beds. The room and bathroom were immaculate and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was very good. Parking is on the quay opposite. Be sure to go to the parking attendants office and get...
