We booked this for one night. Arrived after lunch to find it closed, shuttered and no response to the phone! Reception doesn't open until the evening but they don't tell you or leave a message on an answerphone. The Hotel was dreadful, dark and dusty. They use timers on all electrics so the light goes off half way up the...

I had asked for twin beds and secure parking! I got neither. Could be that was because the hotel was undergoing a refurbishment. We arrived at four to find reception was closed until five. Then had to put up with a double bed when we had asked for twins. Parking was in the street in front of the hotel. Our...

The reception desk only opens at 5pm. Outside these hours the doors are opened reluctantly. The restaurant has ceased to operate giving the place a forlorn appearance and a feeing of decay. The price for these facilities was very reasonable. However, when we arrived, the front door to the hotel was...

Don't be fooled by the street that this Hotel is located on, it's a gem. When we parked outside we thought we had made a poor choice but inside the owners have made a fantastic place to stay. They were extremely friendly and helpful and the decor was beautiful. The room was one of the cleanest we have stayed in....

Recommended by the local tourist office. A very pleasant hotel which is undergoing re-decoratation. Rooms were clean and spacious. Continental breakfast was very good and owners were very hospitalable. Not far from very good restaurants. .Downside - adjacent to railway station but it didn't bother us
