It is undenied that this is a beautiful place. The serene environment touch my heart ! No complaint on the lodging, food except one sad incident. There were 17 of us (inclusive boatman and Resort representatives). We were suppose to visit another island to search for Rafflesia & Hornbills. The boat engine suddenly went wrong ! According to the boat pilot, engine is heating up and he can't continue the journey !!!! What, under the hot sun, suppose to have our lunch after this ???!!!! One of the Resort representative asked us who has Maxis mobile phone, they might be able to contact the Resort; unfortunately no one had one ! I Started wondering why the Resort representative didn't prepared for this kind of emergency ?! Seems that there were no phone coverage at this point of the…
Glad we stumbled upon this place because its an absolute gem.. Green hills on small islands with calm peaceful green waters. Its a great place to just chill and do nothing and enjoy the view - no Wifi or phone reception. We stayed in "A type chalet" which sits on the hill overlooking the lake. Outside the room there's a lovely balcony and shower. Toilets are to be shared. The rooms are simple with electricity provided from 7pm to 8 am. No TV or radios but the view from the chalet makes up for the lack of the idiot box. The view was simply breathtaking and we could have just as easily sat in bed/ balcony and do nothing for the whole day. The resort provides for meals and activities. There's a hike up to the watch tower (where you may stumble upon an elephant) and to the water…

This really is a spectacular place to eat your breakfast every morning! Steve the owner is a really nice guy and always kept us entertained over dinner with a story about the local wildlife or how he built the resort, which made us feel so welcome and at home here. We were staying in their dormitory which has western style toilets and hot showers attached and…
