It is always a pleasure to stay at this hotel. The service is exceptional and you are made feel so welcome. We stay here every year and highly recommend it. It is s family run business and they are very passionate about quality and being great about what they do
We’ve been coming back to this hotel for more than 10 years now. The family run business convinces with a picturesque garden, fantastic food and hospitality. Every room I’ve stayed in so far had its own unique interior design. The owners like to explain how to get around in town and what you can do there. We also enjoyed the jacuzzi with its counter current installation, as well as the ping pong table in their garden. There is also a room with wonderful chess boards (and other board game), a piano and a (french?) snooker table. The rules are simple (as said by the owner) but the game is not, hence we tried and loved it.
A good quality hotel in a good location with very welcoming good attention. We were offered a choice from 3 different very nice rooms, a refreshing difference from most hotels, we but no mention was made of the spa / pool. We liked the decor, the inner garden courtyard, hotel car park and evening restaurant menu. Breakfast was acceptable. As a suggestion, given the long seafront, bicycles would be a useful offering with a note of local places of interest and events taking place. We will be happy to return.
Not many hotels in the area can offer the same charm and ambiance as the Hotel Sud Bretagne. With a pool and beautiful exotic garden where you can enjoy your breakfast in the morning or dinner at night. Staff are extremely welcoming and warm. The owner a lovely character who takes great pride in his establishment. At night candlelit tables fill the courtyard and in the morning complete quiet while you take in the morning air from your own private balcony. Rooms are spacious and decorated differently. Spa area a treat as is the pool table. The bar resonates with a bygone area where a martini would seem appropriate. Steps away from the beachfront and with own parking, its a gem worth trying!
I can't thank enough to Paul, the big boss of this place, well actually he is trying to improve the quality of the rooms and services that his family have had for many years. You can fell how this young fella has tons of skills delivering a great hospitality and customer service. We had a chat about the improvements that he wants to do in the property and I am totally sure, he'll get where he wants as you can feel he is passionate for his job. Hotel keep the same historically style with a modern touches. Food is fantastic and breakfast with a variety of local and traditional dishes. Spa big enough to relax after a long journey. Bravo Paul, keep it up!
We stay in Hotel Sud Bretagne every year - you are always given a great welcome and the service is exceptional. We love every minute of our stay. The decor is quirky and stylish, the restaurant is wonderful and dietary requirements catered for without a fuss. Thank you for making our stay as memorable as always. See you next year. Highly recommended
The decoration and environment of the hotel is charming and cozy but when you look at the details you realize that the renovation has been done just to mask the old one?, paints, floors, the shower-jacuzzi, everything seemed old when you look closely. I join also other comments saying that for a 4* I hoped to have more "details" in the room like more that 2 package of tee, some coffee? Milk? A spoon? Some more soap or body milk. For the spa, It was cold! The water of the swimming pool and there was no heating outside, good idea but not comfortable to stay in. Nevertheless the bar, the restaurant the garden and the rooms are charming and comfortable, the hotel needs just to make a little bigger effort in details for the category and the price.
The room I got differed a lot from the images in my booking. Very poor furniture, basic services, humid, mean, 2 stars. The hotel "spa" is a small swimming pool and a couple of gym tools. Nice breakfast, nice staff, nice garden, good car park, nice village
I am overwhelmed by how awesome this hotel is! The quirky room was beyond cute, the pool was perfect to relax at and the restaurant and bar beautiful. Breakfast was simple and cute. By far the best part of my stay was the utterly fabulous staff!! I travel extensively for business and pleasure and only write reviews when I have had either extremes for service. This place has the BEST people working here. Friendly, efficient, welcoming, caring the list could go on. That you so much for a wonderful experience here I will definitely be visiting again soon
A mixed bag of a place. Positives; Excellent location, secure parking, friendly staff, electric shutters (good for darkness at night) Negatives; Bathroom all part of bedroom with separate WC, smell of damp, on a noisy road, unclean, hairs all over bath. This place is trying to be a boutique hotel but is shabby. I’d prefer less quirks. I’d definitely look for a room with a separate bathroom in the future and strongly urge the hotel to remove all ornaments as they simply gather dirt and dust. The real pluses of this hotel are its excellent location and secure parking behind a locked gate.
