We returned to the Chateau having spent a lovely night there a couple of years earlier. Previously we had booked a family room with a double bed and two singles. This was great as it meant our two small children were with us and it was obviously much cheaper than booking two rooms. This time we were told there were... More

The hotel is on the edge of the village of Neuville St Amand, which is a few Km SE of St Quentin. Without satnav, you probably won't find it. There is a first class, classical restaurant with friendly service and reasonable prices. This is why people come here. The rooms are a good size, simple and adequate, with good bathrooms. Don't... This was our first stop on a Tour De France and it was a great start. About 1.5 hours drive from Calais and convenient to the autoroute without being too close. For those with SatNav it is right at the end of the street; our system did not recognise the number and the numbering system on this road is a... More

We had an overnight stop here whilst driving back from Italy, and wanted somewhere quiet and relaxing. This was excellent in all aspects, and the meal in the restaurant was one of the best we have had. Yes, the bedroom extension is a bit out of character, but if you want a quiet night in woodland surroundings with plenty of... More

I picked this place because it was a good distance from Calais at the start of our drive through France. The house initially is very attractive from the outside, but has definitely been spoiled by the concrete addition mentioned by other reviewers. It is very quiet but when we went for a walk before dinner we found the surroundings very... More

We have tried several hotels that are about 2-3 hours from Calais and this one is in our top three. We often travel with classic cars and this offers safe parking, a friendly owner, good food and spacious rooms.

Some earlier reviews have been rather churlish about the rooms which, yes, are in a rather plain accomodation block built onto the rear of the chateau and, yes, the hallway/corridor echoed a little but the room was a generous size and well equipped. The location is very quiet so there are unlikely to be hordes of noisy late arrivals disturbing... More

We stayed here on our trip back home with our 1 year old baby. Our room was very clean and a good size (I had booked a triple) and they had kindly put a cot in the room for us. The accommodation is in a low-rise concrete extension at the back of the Chateau. It was not what we expected... More

Wishing to break the journey on our return to England I found this hotel on Trip Advisor and the reviews sounded great. When we arrived we were very disappointed. Our two rooms were both in the concrete block extension in front of the main building. (This is the main accommodation block) All rooms are the same and have one large window... More

Perfect place to spend the last night in France before a leisurely run to the ferry next day. Large comfortable but simple 'garden' room. Excellent restaurant.
