Coming to spend a long back-to-school weekend in Les Sables d'Olonne, I chose to stay at Les Roches Noires, this hotel located a 15-20 minute walk from the station, which is extremely convenient for quickly putting down your suitcase.
Facing the sea, it offers several floors of rooms, some of which have a balcony with an ocean view. My room 118 does not offer a view but is a small haven of comfort with everything you need for a good stay. The bathroom is quite large and is equipped with a bathtub.
Please note, the hotel definitely has a series of steps to access it even if it is equipped with a small elevator to reach the floors. There are still sometimes a few steps to access certain rooms. The rooms have a major positive point: soundproofing. I didn't hear anything from the hallways or other rooms during my entire stay. This is rare enough in hotels located in old buildings to be underlined!
You can easily reach many restaurants and the resort center within a 10-15 minute walk. All the staff, from reception to room maintenance, were very pleasant, smiling and friendly.
Thank you for this beautiful, relaxing stay, helped by a radiant blue sky and more than 30 degrees, offering a beautiful spectacle during sunsets combined with strong tidal coefficients.

The hotel is right by the beach and we were very lucky to get a room with sea view. There was everything you’d need in the room including water. You can park right outside the hotel for 20 minutes to unload bags and check in. Then parking is a few minutes walk away either on a back street or in the public car park. Perfect location for a seaside break.

We have just stayed 2 nights at the Les Roches Noires hotel, well located close to shops and restaurants. Well-equipped hotel, generous and varied breakfast. Very good menu at the sloop restaurant recommended by the hotel.
We were disappointed by the location of our room overlooking the patio and bothered by the smell of cigarettes. So no possibility of opening the window.
The room and spa staff are friendly but we found the reception too commercial upon our arrival and departure, without empathy. We are at the end of the season!

It is a beautiful hotel facing the sea, the staff is welcoming and friendly. The buffet breakfast is very good with good products. The rooms with panoramic balcony are a little narrow but the price is adjusted. Minutes stop in front of the hotel and free parking a few meters away on the square.

In 2019 we chose the hotel + gourmet restaurant discovery package... and we were delighted. This year we came back and chose the wellness package... and we are delighted again. The hotel is ideally located (near the sea but far enough from the hustle and bustle of beachgoers); The rooms are spacious and comfortable. And, the icing on the cake, the service provided by competent and attentive staff is of very high quality. The massage is extremely relaxing and you will never want to leave the spa because you feel so good there.
We will surely come back.

We stayed here for four nights. The hotel is very welcoming and recently refurbished it seems. We had a wonderful sea view room on the third floor, which was very quiet, comfortable but quite small. Good bathroom with bath though. Staff were lovely. Parking was a bit of a bind. We had to park some streets away from the hotel. This, and the small side of the room gives it four stars rather than five. There are larger rooms I believe but I don’t think they have the sea view. A pretty long walk into town also, about 15 minutes quick walking I would say.

I recommend this Inn whose Award Value is very good. Moreover it is ideally located, right in front of the sea, which ensures a breathtaking view. On the other hand, having tested the spa (treatment / massage / hair removal), I find that the services are not up to the prices. In addition, the services are performed by beauticians who are still in training. At this Award waited an expert and confirmed beautician or masseuse.

Pension Les Sables enjoys the best possible location: facing the large beach on the embankment but low enough to avoid the crowds and nuisance of the sandy evenings around the clock (so you can reach and leave!). The staff is dedicated and smiling and the Inn’s services are good. Breakfast facing the sea is not to be missed.

I had a very good stay at the spa hotel “Les roches noirs”. The welcome from the staff is very pleasant. Everyone is really helpful. The quality of the spa area is impeccable, and the "re-lax" massage that I had the opportunity to try was perfect with a respectful masseuse who was keen to know if the pressure of the massage suited me.
Very complete buffet breakfast with a great sea view! (despite construction barriers when I was there)
My reservation was made last minute the day before for the next day, so I had two different rooms over the two nights because the hotel was full. I had a superb first family room, with quick room service pizza in the evening. Very comfortable bedding.
On the other hand, the 2nd night I had the only room left (108) and beyond being a little small (but being alone it was quite enough), it overlooked the street, and above all. ..on a lamppost! The double curtains being only partially obscuring my room seemed to be lit all night...so I didn't sleep very well. This was the only downside of this stay. I also appreciated the luggage transfer between the two rooms while I was away for work, I didn't have to do anything. Thank you for your welcome ! I'll be back !

We had an excellent time, thanks to the welcome, the quality of the room and the spa area. We were even able to benefit from a Californian massage as a couple. We took a half-board option and were able to enjoy with great pleasure the associated restaurant “le sloop” located 150 m from the hotel.
The staff is very pleasant, and tries to find a solution to your problems or questions. The bedding is good and the sea view is really nice, with the added bonus of a good-sized terrace). Given the large breakfast room and its breathtaking view, it is a shame that the hotel does not have a tea room with a tart shop.
We recommend this hotel, but also the Atlantic hotel which is ultimately part of the same house, and which has a lounge area with swimming pool (the sloop and the starred restaurant of these two hotels)

According to their website the hotel has family room for up to 5 people. For specifics it would be best to contact them directly as we only took a double room.
