This hotel has a good restaurant. The buffet for a starter or main has an excellent selection of salads and meats. A variety of other starters, main course and desserts available. Service is also good. Sit outside under large parasols if the weather is warm.

This was our third visit to Les Chenes, though now it was under new management. We would not describe its situation, next to a main road through a commercial district, as beautiful, but it is convenient, being only about 5 minutes drive north of Sisteron town. Sisteron and its unique citadel are very well worth visiting, and it is surrounded...

Comfortable, spacious room, insulated from road noise, for a reasonable price. The plumbing in the en-suite was not removing stale odours when I was there, but I am sure the attentive owners will have fixed that up. We ate a really good French breakfast with fresh bread and croissants, brought in by the owner early on. Friendly owners.

This family-owned property is conveniently located close to Sisteron and features amazing cuisine in the restaurant at night. While the breakfast offerings did not come close to the food at dinner, there are very things to complain about here. The rooms are large and have plenty of space. A few more outlets would be nice, but that is typical of...

This hotel was wonderful. The lady who owns it is very friendly and helpful. They have ample, secure parking and free internet. The room was HUGE and very clean with extra towels. It is very close to the Sisteron Citadel. We were only there for one night but would have liked to stay longer. We really enjoyed our stay there.

This hotel is 2 or 3 minutes drive from Sisteron and its stunning Citadel. The rooms are simple but comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing but dinner on the shady terrace was good. The pool is a suntrap and very relaxing after some hours travelling. Les Chenes offers a good value stopover or base for touring/walking.

great little hotel for travellers staying 1 or 2 days. the rooms are large for European 2 star standards, the restaurant is quite good. staff were very friendly and spoke decent english. there was also plenty of parking out the front. Not recommended for travellers looking to stay in the town centre.

Nice place, good parking (closed at night) just out of Sisteron. The rooms have a strange stucture with plenty of unused spaces, but clean. Well insulated from outside noise. wether you are two or one, the price is fot the room (70/80 euros), which is a bit expensive if you are alone. The restaurant is nice, well furnished and have...

I have stayed there for one night for each of the past four years and eaten there at least thirty times over a much longer period. Les Chenes is still really good. The hotel isn't luxurious but it is better value than an impersonal IBIS. However the French still don't understand the concept of a fat pillow. The rooms are...
