Field View is the best b&b I've ever stayed in. The furnishings are superb and are superior to many another b&b. I stayed in the French Room with its very comfortable double bed, two easy chairs and loads of space. Everywhere was clean and obviously the owner had given great attention to detail. The breakfast was excellent - plentiful and... More

Spent another 2 nights at this b&b in the French Room. This room is as good or even better than many top London B&Bs. Really comfortable bed and lots of spec to move around in. Breakfast is plentiful and importantly lots of parking available on site. If you require a b&b in the Saffron Walden area this would not dissapointed... More

If you require a very comfortable and clean and friendly place to stay this is it. We stayed at field view for two nights and we were in the French room. This room is possibly a higher standard than the best hotel rooms in London. Our hosts were top class and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent. If you are looking... More

Field view B&B We stayed here due to its close proximity when visiting our son. Booking was straight forward enough with plenty of correspondences from the owner Lindy to arrange access and the key. Before I continue I'm new to B&B’s I'm more of a hotel person but I have to admit that may change in the future. There were... More

We have just returned home from our 2 day stay at Field View. We were welcomed straight away, and made to feel at ease there. The colonial room was spacious as was the bathroom. Breakfasts were grand. The extra touches from Lyndy were very much appreciated . We had travelled up for our sons wedding and can honestly say it... More

We were lucky to find this Bed & Breakfast through the English Tourist Board. It was wonderful, our host Lindy, couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Colonial Room, with two lovely comfortable double beds, clean and tidy, with plenty of room to relax. The breakfast was delicious, with local bread and even homemade jams and... I stayed at this B&B for 18 months, need I say more! Lindy and Donal became friends and were the perfect hosts. I had the same beautiful room every week and it became my 'home form home'. Spotlessly clean, lovely food and the kindest people I have ever met. You were stars,!

When you arrive at your chosen destination first impressions are very important, and the offer of a cup of tea is a small gesture that very rarely happens but a sign of a quality venue and host. Lindy is a lovely lady running a lovely house. The bedroom is immaculately clean and the bed big and comfortable, the view over... More

My party of three people stays at Field View in late May, 2015. It is located near the village of Saffron Walden, in the countryside southeast of the village on Thaxted Road. The house is located back from this country road and has ample parking for guest cars. The location is fairly quiet, and the back of the house faces... More
