Overpriced for what it is. All very strange, have to make your own bed upon arrival and clean the apartment yourself or book a cleaner at the end of your stay for extra. Everything in this place costs extra. The fact that you have to pay for wifi in 2022 is an absolute cash grab. You can check in from 2pm but you can’t actually get your keys until 5pm which makes no sense. The member of staff who checked us in was quite rude, favouring to talk to French guests first even though we were there first and then answering the phone when we were in the middle of checking in. We had to pay €400 euro deposit which is a ridiculous amount of money considering the furniture is all so old and could probably do with being replaced anyway! Our apartment was relatively clean but the walls are covered in weird marks and there are cobwebs. They don’t provide you with any cleaning products so you have to buy a full pack of dishwasher tablets, toilet cleaner etc yourself which is just wasteful as I won’t be taking them back in my suitcase. Location is alright, a bit out of the way but we walked 15 minutes to the Grand Massif Express chairlift everyday. There is also a bus stop for the ski bus right outside. Lasting impression is that it’s incredibly overpriced for what it is. There are so many other options in Samoens. I would not stay here again.

Lcated far from cable car, need to take your car or use the bus. Furniture quite old. Small pool and sauna, always full and need to pay for it extra. Overpriced for the conditions. Staff not very friendly, reception assured only a few hours.

First of all, this should not be under the category Hotel it is actually a Hostel. You are welcomed by the most unfriendly staff that should not be in the industry. Once in the room you get a package with linen and are expected to make your own "beds" which are actually a bunk-bed and/or and fold out sofa. Cleaning standard is under acceptable level, with dust everywhere. Broken furniture, holes in the wall, mould in the shower... Fresh! If going to the lovely town of Samoens, chose a different place to stay than the Faulty Towers of France, the Lagrange Vacances....

Excellent accommodation, close to ski bus stop and ideal for the town. If you want a ski-in ski-out holiday this won’t be for you as you need to get the gondola up every day to get to the snow. We where there over February half-term and the morning quays where a frustration as well as the over crowding on some of the slops. Choke points developed on some runs in the afternoon as skiers returned to the main lift to get back down the mountain and it was carnage. When the lift across to Flaine was open the skiing experience Improved dramatically, more runs and more space.

Four of us stayed at Lagrange Vacances Les Fermes de Samoens in early Jan 2020.We are regular skiers and normally stay in ski in ski out accommodation but with the shuttle bus stop very close getting to and from the slopes was very easy also in the evening we enjoyed walking into the village centre. The shuttle buses are colour coded keeping them very user friendly . We loved Samoens with its alpine architecture and variety of restaurants and bars. The apartments were very clean and well equipped and a good size . Be aware you are expected to leave the whole apartment clean or pay to get it cleaned contrary to Crystal Ski details .I did raise this with Crystal and they offered to cover cleaning cost. The Grand Massif offers plenty of skiing . I shared with a friend so went for the 4 birth apartment giving us separate rooms to sleep in and my only negative is that the dividing walls are very thin but this we found is common in French apartments . With Samoens within 2 hours of Geneva airport I would recommend package to others.

These are great apartments very close to a ski bus stop. We have rented a 2 bed apartment and it is very spacious with a bath and always hot water! Our kitchen was fine for us but didn’t have an oven, just a microwave and no kettle but you can ask for one at reception. We actually boiled our water on the hob! It takes about 10 mins to walk to the village centre which we did every morning and the ski bus to be lifts takes minutes. For the price I would say it’s a fab option to keep ski holiday costs low. The only problem we found was that the indoor swimming pool has no shallow end so not suitable for small children and that’s the only reason we probably wouldn’t stay again. Cleaning wise we are going to clean the apartment ourselves so fingers crossed we don’t get charged but we have been told to strip all bedding and towels and leave them outside the entrance to the apartment block. We gather that if you pay for cleaning you have to clean the kitchen regardless. Get little place for all ages if you don’t mind the swimming pool.

Slightly misleading photographs, its not as comfy as it looks and efficiency and friendliness of reception staff needs improvement. We had a 10 person 4 bedroom apartment over 3 floors booked for first week of season yet the apartment only has one rather tired sofa bed and hard chairs in the living room and a standard single microwave. The small pool about 6mx2m and lounge area shown in pictures are actually in separate buildings and the staff would not let some of our party use the lounge on check out day whilst they waited for their taxi to Geneva. Neither could they check us in when we arrived about 11am, despite having no-one waiting, and insisted we return at 2pm by which time there was an hour long queue just to fill in paperwork the details of which they of course already had. The staff attitude was 'We are not a hotel!'. All fairly typical of the general French approach to apartments with dingy lighting and basic cooking faciliies, rooms with no shelves and cupboards or places to put things down. However, once we'd rearranged some furniture the apartment was OK, it was hot (most radiators ahd to be turned off) but with plenty of hot water a shower room/toilet, a separate bathroom, and a separate toilet was adequate for 8 adults. It has no ski-storage or boot warming area - worth getting skis from Xtreme Glisse right next to lift station and leaving them there! It has a ski bus stop right by the reception and is a 10 minute walk to either the town centre or the ski lift, the town is lovely and has plenty of shops and restaurants and a few good bars.

The accommodation was basic but clean (although no oven so when we returned from the Supermarket with Frozen Pizzas & Chips on our first night we couldn't cook them!) and the reception staff were friendly. However an adequate stay was completely ruined by very poor customer service from their "Customer Service Department" after being charged for cleaning (that I had booked on arrival) only to find I had to effectively do it all myself and pay €49 for the privilege! When we checked in I asked for end-of-stay cleaning at €49 – when I checked out and paid my bill the day before we left Samoens I paid for the cleaning together with the breakfast items we had had and the Tourism Tax. After I paid I was given a piece of paper which I read when we got back to the room. I thought €49 was very expensive anyway (I pay my cleaner significantly less than that for 3 hours work including changing beds and cleaning 4 bathrooms!) BUT having to “Clean the whole kitchen area”….”Remove your dirty linen……..” and carry it all downstairs, we effectively cleaned the flat anyway! All someone would have to do would be to clean one bathroom and sweep the floors – I would say 30minues work (€5) at a maximum. I had no time (the night before we were leaving early the next morning) to go out and purchase cleaning products to do the job myself so contacted them when we got home. I feel really cheated by paying €49 for something that should have only cost €5 and certainly would not return to a Lagrange property again because of that. I was hoping they would offer a refund of the cleaning fee as a gesture of goodwill....but no sadly not from their head office....such a shame.

Stayed here as a family Easter last year. The apartments are well equipped with all the essentials and very spacious, however it is worth noting that the ovens are not very big (more the size of a large microwave) and although we had a kettle in out apartment our friends next door didn't. The apartments are clean ish but I gave everywhere a once over anyway as there was a little dust in the corners etc and to be honest I always give the kitchens and bathrooms a wipe down wherever we stay. The apartments are not super luxury but are nice and are perfect as a base when skiing. The location is good as it's in the village where there is a lovely selection of restaurants and takeaways if you don't fancy cooking and there is also a decent size Carrefour only a short drive which stocks all the essentials and more!! The apartments are a shortdrive to the Gondola where there is a decent size carpark, just beware during peak seasons, if you leave it too late then you may struggle to find a space. The swimming pool is ok but not huge, does the job for the kids so as long as they are happy I'm fine with it. The pool is in a separate building but it's not an issue as it's all within the same complex. There is also plenty of parking on site if you are driving (if you stay here I would recommend a car!!). There is also a great ski hire shop opposite the Gondola with great friendly staff and you can leave all your equipment there at the end of the day. I would also highly recommend the ski school next door (Ski 360)!! Overall it's a great place and a great price also. We were more than happy with it and in fact have booked to stay again Easter this year!!

Checking in took absolutely ages as the only person on reception on a Saturday delighted in chatting with each arrival for a minimum of 15 minutes! The apartment itself was very basic - and very brown! Like a previous reviewer, we were very uncomfortable at being on the ground floor with a constant stream of people walking past the windows. Beds were hard, pillows and towels thin and small. Kitchen strangely equipped with 6x3 different sizes of plates (the apartment slept max 4 people) and only huge frying pans and pans. No empty cupboards to store food. Or storage for those sleeping in the living area. Swimming pool tiny and cold. Unbelievably there was no free wi-fi. Overall I would spend a bit more next time to stay on one of the several much nicer résidences in the village. Samoens itself is lovely!
