We loved this hotel and very sad we only had 1 night. Very friendly helpful staff, speak English. Bar service, pool, outdoor area wonderful for relaxing. No fridge in room. Great breakfast although we weren't keen on the dinner for €20 per person of cold cuts, cheese fondue, lettuce. Fruit supplied was delicious, wine was included in the dinner price. Highly recommend this hotel and would go back as bed was huge and comfortable, room was spacious with great views.
Really good value if you speak French and are happy to join in activities. This is like a top-quality youth hostel or holiday camp rather than a hotel, but has great facilities - kids clubs day and evening from age 3, evening activities for all, very good quality food (although not really set up for me as a vegetarian - like most of France!). I was on a short ski break with a friend - 3 nights, driving a hire car from Geneva, it is a quick and easy drive, about 1 hour, and I would got there again. Our room was simple but clean and big, with a twin/double, leading to a small clean bathroom and smaller bedroom with bunkbeds, would have been great for a family of 4. Beds are made on arrival but not during the week, no toiletries or frills! There is a bar, an open air swimming pool in summer, a tennis court, children's play area, TV room, show room/theatre room, laundry, kitchen, library/lounge, and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The ski area is great - le Grand Massif, links Flaine, Les Carroz, Sixt, Morillon, late season snow was perfect, better in the mornings, and couldn't ski back to Samoens, but cabins are fast and modern. The ski hire shop gave a discount to guests staying at Le Berouze too, which is a bonus. I would definitely go there again.…
