We booked this hotel for a late season, long w/e ski. Good position in Samoens, close to the centre and on the ski bus route to the GM express. Elodie and the whole team are very friendly and accommodating; the evening in house dinners are excellent. Great features such as the hamman 'wellness' facility just added to the stay. Great value and deffo on our return list.
We had a truly lovely time here. The hotel is family run and all the staff are really great and make you feel welcome. It had a chalet feel to the place. The rooms were warm and spacious with a great balcony. Breakfast was always well stocked with breads, fruit and a warm option. The bar area was cosy with large sofas and a fire. Decent draught beer and local wines. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was excellent, beyond what we expected ! Boot room was a tad small but heh ho. Ski bus was directly opposite which was handy. Samoens is a really lovely town, we will definitely return. Thank you
We arrived very late so we’re glad to get into our room as the owner kindly let us in. The room was clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. The balcony was lovely. The shower was always hot and the bathroom was well equipped and modern. We really loved the basement hammam, steam room, jacuzzi and Himalayan salt room which we could reserve privately. Breakfast was varied and fresh and friendly service. We stayed at Neige et Roc 4 star last year which is next door. We would definitely recommend staying here instead. I think it’s worthy of 4 stars not the 3 as certified.
We came here last year on a package and loved it so returned again. Élodie was very helpful when we booked directly as we wanted Thursday to Thursday. We stayed in a lodge which had plenty of room and a lovely terrace. We took the half board option and really enjoyed the variety of the menus with a plentiful cheeseboard as well. The staff are all very helpful and welcoming. The jacuzzi was powerful and very welcome for the tired ski legs!
We had a wonderful stay in Hotel Gai Soleil. We stayed in the lodge; it was modern, clean and my taste of interior. The Breakfast was absolutely wonderful; we loved the bread. Dinner was great. The staff was very kind and caring. The owner, Elody, was very helpfull and worked really hard to take care of all the guests.
A lovely well run hotel. Rated 3 star (and I have marked it based on this) , I would say closer to 4 star. Location : The hotel itself is well located, across the road from the ski bus stop and 1 min walk to the main street in the town centre. Rooms : Fine. Beds and pillows comfortable. Bathroom fine too. Lounge/Reception : Nice area, typical ski hotel style. Small bar with variety of drinks Food : Breakfast was the usual buffet for a ski holiday. Good selection of things. We had dinner on one of the nights and it was very good. Cleaniness. Spotless !! Very good indeed Facilities : Great spa downstairs in main hotel, pool (which I didn't use) is in separate building 10 metres from hotel. The spa was very good. Jacuzzi, Hamman (I went late and think this meant temperature down a little) , relaxation room with beds and "salt walls", and shower. You can rent a robe and extra towel is required (5 euro so fine) Also a sauna which you can book. Service ; Very good indeed. Friendly , very helpful and informative. Organised the breakfast to be ready 30 mins early as we had a taxi transfer coming. Would I stay again ? Absolutely, without hesitation. A well run lovely hotel with good facilities, spotlessly clean, and great service.…
Stayed here to ski with 3 friends. Great hotel with decent sized rooms and the facilities there are great. Pool, jacuzzi x2, steam, sauna, ‘salt’ room...there is also a games room with fuss ball and table tennis (and a children’s kitchen play area). Directly opposite the main stop for the yellow line bus - max 10 mins from door to bottom of gondola. Euro 150 private transfer from Geneva (hotel can advise, ask about Xavier). Family run, very friendly, would highly recommend.
One night stay but wish longer , lovely hotel , nice rooms with balconies and great views , fab pool and jacuzzi with views of mountain great value for money and local village centre is only two mins walk away will be back for sure
I had only eaten here once before, it was really nice in lovely surroundings. All the staff were really helpful. It’s not a massive menu but fine and plenty of choice. The hotel itself looks lovely with a really nice bar area and lounge. We even saw a couple running out in swimming gear so there must be an indoor pool somewhere. Well worth a visit
Stayed in a junior suite with balcony in the new chalet building in the garden. Beautifully decorated and very modern. All the staff were very helpful and friendly and we dined in the hotel one evening on our four night stay and the food was delicious. I would recommend and definitely stay here again. The ski bus was right opposite and the owner recommended 2 ski shops right next to the lift which was great. The wifi did not work brilliantly but it didn't really matter. Great small hotel for a short break.
