Like travelling through France used to be like. Very nice owner operator, imagine Basil Fawltey without the passive agression. Dillapidated Lovely old hotel, largish bedroom cheaply refurbished, good fully tiled large bathroom, no fridge or AC but being in the valley Vals doesn't get so hot. As there two of us plus child plus baby plus a dog the price... More

Rooms are - obviously for the quite cheap rates - simple, yet very clean. Breakfast for EUR 6.50 is small in terms of selection but ok and all you can eat. Very charming and most helpful hosts! We stayed here, despite all the negative comments from the past, because we could not find anything else in the high season. We... More

Vals les Bains is a popular summer southern destination for people living near the North Sea, and a year-round site of the historic thermal bath spas. The hotel was fine for a ski hotel, rooms were warm and bed was comfortable, always enough hot water for bath or shower and breakfast normal French breakfast but with wonderful warm wholemeal bread as well as standard baguettes, Nice bar and friendly staff.
