Drove up at 11 PM (after getting lost) to find the hotel shut down, lights out and no one responding to knocking. After searching finally found a note and key at the back door- hooray! Walked into pitch black hotel, couldn't figure out the lights that seemed to be on timers? Couldn't find an elevator, so carried luggage up 3...

Hotel Waldman is situated very close to the 'Fairy Tale' Castle of Neuschwanstein in Schwangau, near Fussen at the very South of Bavaria Germany, close to the Austrian Border. I had possibly stupidly driven down from near Liege Belgium to Fussen arriving at around 9pm, after many miles of Autobahn driving. I was fortunate to find a comfortable room in...

Excellent choice for any style of traveller. The place is spotless and the hotel is just far enough out of the center of town to be quiet but close enough to be right at the castles. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts made us feel right at home. One of our favorite stays in Germany. The kids particularly appreciated...

We only used the restaurant which was really friendly with a view! The service is perfect the people are kind and looking for the guest's wishes. The dishes are enough for grown ups and tasty. The prices are moderate.

Nice family run Bavarian style hotel with parking. Close to Neuschwanstein castle and the lovely town of Fussen. Our room is nice with a nice bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Only downside is the wifi, yes it is free but only lasts 30 minutes each time and you have to go back to your settings to keep getting wifi, which...

Such a clean, cozy and charming hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was great. Bathroom was modern and upgraded. We got a room with a balcony overlooking the castles which was amazing. The castles were within 15 minutes walking distance. It was the most memorable stay we had in our entire European trip.

Where to begin?! We've never stayed at such a clean, charming or welcoming hotel in all the years we've been holidaying in Europe. The family running the hotel are so attentive, friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, comfortable and the cleanest I've ever stayed in. The view to the castles was amazing. Whilst the wifi was a little ropey,...

This lovely little Hotel has great views of the Castles and the Alps. Make sure you eat in the Restaurant as the evening meal has a great selection of local food. The staff are very helpful and the internet is reasonable for the locale. We had a lovely visit

A simple hotel that does it's best. Great for visiting the nearby castles and the owners do try their best to make you comfortable. No lift so if you had a lot of luggage (some heavy) like we did it was annoying. Our room was rudimentary at best and did have the smell of cooking through it like we were...

This is a recommended hotel in Schwangau. Very close to Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles, also few kilometres from Füssen, one bus ride away. I gave it four stars because it had no elevators, and very rustic hotel. But all in all,we were a big group of 10 people/family, and we all had a great experience in both the hotel and...
