Villino is an exquisite hotel with award-winning cuisine, located above Lindau, in the heart of fruit orchards, at the crossroads of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Grand Chef Reiner Fischer has achieved extensive acclaim for the restaurant with his Italian-Asian cuisine, complimented by an international wine list with no less than 850 different selections. A charming garden, based on traditional English and Italian designs, surrounds the hotel. The diversity of the artistic, cultural and leisure activities on and around the lake ensures there is something for everyone here.

Wow, what a find! We stayed in this beautiful hotel for one night stop over during a road trip and we were taken aback by it's serene surroundings and the 5 star service. People here love what they do and you can see that everywhere: in the beautifully decorated rooms, the grounds and gardens and the amazing on site gourmet restaurant. The owners are fully involved in the day to day operations and this makes all the difference in the world- the service is without fault and you really feel welcomed! The only thing missing is aircon if you struggle with heat in summer, and a pool for a dip during hot days on these amazing grounds. :) I would come back in a heart beat and hope to visit again soon!

we had only 1 night as a weekend break. Arriving around 13h our room was ready. The spacious Juniorsuite has a gardenview and the interior was Mediterranean with its terracotta colors. Maybe a bit dark in the winter, only thing we missed was a coffeemachine. The hotel is on the outskirts of Lindau and it is a 40min walk or take the car to get to the old Lindau island. We also had dinner in their Restaurant, a great experience. Excellent service, attentive and knowledgeable. Amazing how well they remembered our name !!

We stayed in the Hotel Villino for three nights. We found the place on the web when we searched for a Hotel close to Lindau. The location is a bit outside of the main city in a calm place. The Hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas time. The style and the ambiance is amazing. The owners and staff are friendly and we always felt welcome during the stay. The Breakfast was just excellent. There is a real service on the table not just the ordinary self service. We liked every minute on this location and we promise to come back.

This property exceeded our expectations in every regard. The service was outstanding. The decor of the hotel and our room was first class. Our breakfast at their Michelin rated restaurant was superb. The gardens and grounds were beautifully landscaped and maintained. Our best hotel stay of our trip.

The service and the friendly staff together with the charm of the property makes this an outstanding hotel. Also the restaurant is a favourite of ours. We have stayed five times or so at the Villino and will come back many times!

Stayed here from the 28th to the 29th of June. Came in late night. The hotel had prepared a nice meal at the room. Lovely room , by the way. The hotel is located close to Lindau in a beautiful garden/park. We just had time for breakfast there before continuing our trip to Chamonix. Very friendly personnel all over. Love to come back some day.

We stayed for two nights at Villino and everything really is perfect for a nice relaxing break......unless the Sun comes out! Admittedly we stayed during a heatwave but it can’t be unusual for it to be warm here. Not to have fans available for every room led to an uncomfortably warm, disturbed nights rest. That really was the only fault. On our second night we managed to get a fan for the room and that made a big difference but it was very noisy. By contrast we have moved onto another two night stay elsewhere in Germany and have two Dyson air blades in the room, quiet, efficient and comfortable just as I expect in Germany. Bedrooms Fantastic and very comfortable, assuming the Sun doesn’t come out. Quirky layout but that adds to the homely feel. Really nice bed linen etc. Staff All very, very efficient as you would expect in a hotel of this quality. Everything was easy. Food Michelin stars are not handed out for nothing. The breakfast comes from the same kitchen, you are unlikely to be disappointed. Location Set up amongst the gardens and vineyards above Lindau this is a lovely spot. Easy enough to find and handy for all the facilities of Lake Constance. Overall a really nice place but left feeling a little disappointed that the 5 star experience was a little short of expectations.

The hotel and surroundings are beautiful. We enjoyed the full menu and wine journey - whilst expensive (most expensive meal I’ve ever eaten) - it was utterly worth it and I would encourage you to save up to go. The staff, room, breakfast and overall experience was fantastic. Two days of utter bliss and a short walk to charming Lindau makes this a must place to visit.

Charming comfortable property located amidst vineyards on a ridge above Lake Constance providing a wonderfully relaxing stay, after driving through extreme snow and rain weather for several hours. An excellent experience and worth the stay, even on days when the Michelin starred restaurant is closed. When open, enjoying the restaurant further enhances the experience, as we know from prior stays
