We enjoyed a last minute stay here as a family and thought that the staff were charming and helpful, and the hotel was very clean, rooms spacious! Amazing deal with the tourist card the hotel gives you means that you save a fortune on lift Passes etc and can really explore the area, which we loved. A very busy mountain town, with lots to do as a family and lots of nice bars and restaurants. We loved going on the pédalo on the lake!
My only concern currently is that, walking around the town and hotel, you would not have had a clue that covid exists - no masks in view (apart from on the ski lifts where this is obligatory ) and I was amazed the hotel restaurant still had free-serve salad bar and breakfast buffet. Other hotels have installed-Plexiglass glass dividers in dining areas, and have stopped people movement and buffets ... I would have felt more comfortable with these measures in place.

My mother and I stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of January. The hotel is ideally situated in the Crans-Montana area. We had the most stunning view from our bedroom window.
The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was included and there was a wide variety to chose from the buffet. We only ate one evening in the hotel which offered a set menu. It was delicious.
Bedrooms were cleaned every morning. One minor thing which would have been nice to have would have been tea or coffee making facilities in the bedroom but it isn't big enough of an issue to reduce the score. I lovely stay in a very quirky little hotel.

I travel often for work in luxury hotels and I have never found a place so cosy, with incredible personal touches, kindness of the owner and availability to help with everything. The location is beautiful, central and just a few minutes walking from the lift to get on the slop. The rooms are cute, super comfortable beds, very warm. The restaurant is good and really everybody is kind, willing to help (I injured myself during my solo trip and they went far and beyond to help me). This is my second time here and it won't surely be the last - it's like having a little home in Crans. Best hotel ever.

What a lovely and charming hotel. Small. Quaint. Little quirky in decor. Family run. Wonderful and kind service. Delicious food. Seriously, eat your meals here. That doesn’t even begin to cover the absolutely stunning views from the rooms on the back of the hotel. Easy walking to food, groceries, restaurants, shopping, and more.

Great small hotel with very friendly staff and a fantastic view of the valley. Very good breakfast and a 10 minute walk from the funiculaire coming from Sierre. Nice localtion at the lac and close to bars and restaurants.

The perfect property to enjoy crans Montana: walking distance from all the main attractions yet in a quiet and relaxing location, breathtaking views , super comfy beds, clean and tidy rooms, varied buffet for breakfast with fresh and local options, amazingly professional and kind owner.
Only negative feedback, a French speaking blonde girl receptionist who didn’t seem to want to be there...

I stayed here recently whilst on business visiting a new turf installation at Crans Sur Sierra GC. I stay in a lot of hotels and I can honestly say this is the friendliest I’ve ever stayed in. From checking in to leaving the service and smiles were first class. Very nice rooms too and great value for money considering usual Swiss prices. A short walk from Restaurants etc and a good breakfast. Can’t wait to come back sometime

All in all a great stay, nice to come back after a day on the slopes to an afternoon tea of cakes :-)

My room at the top of the building (35) was very cold at night, I woke up several times, not sure if it needed more insulation. Told the manager and he checked it out. The next night was still freezing in the early hours so I asked for more blankets and was given two extra duvets, which was great and snuggly.

The room was cleaned everyday and fresh towels provided if you left them on the shower floor.

The hotel had a nice homely feel to it, friendly atmosphere and the views? Beautiful.

The waitresses were great and helped with everything they could when food was being served or drinks.

Thanks for the great stay Hotel du Lac and hope to see you again soon

Au revoir!

We liked this Hotel very much. It has nice views over the valley and into the mountains. The prices are very good for the service you get. The rooms aren't very big, but big enough and everything is very clean.
You get a nice breakfast and if you like the owner of the hotel sells you your ticket for the ski lifts at the hotel, so you don't have to stand in line when you get to the station.
There are a lot of restaurants and shops close to the hotel.

We've stayed at Hotel du Lac for one night. We arrived quite late, since we were taking pictures after the lifts closed and went straight after that for dinner (there is an amazing pizzeria not far away from hotel du lac).

Anyway, we were able to get into the hotel without any problems. They offered to put the bikes in a storage room, but we had them in our car, no need for that.

The room was small but nice, the beds comfy and the shower great. But what really stood out was the breakfast buffet. For a hotel in this price class really top of the class.

Additionally the owners are really bike friendly. No troubles with our 2 dogs :-)
