It’s a beautiful hotel with spectacular views Staff is excellent, polite, warm and helpful
Decoration is amazing
Attention to detail in furniture, colours and finishings
Very homey and posh at the same time
Lobby, outdoor terrace and restaurants, are simply wonderful
Ski shop very nice and staff helpful
Ski in out -not exactly
You have to walk to gondola
Location is great as on a good day you can walk down the Riad to the escalator and find yourself in Montana
Otherwise a hotel car could drop you off and pick you up upon request all day until 8:00 in the evening
So if you want to eat out, you need to take your car
If you decide to eat in, prepare to pay a lot even for a simple dish as a club sandwich
Breakfast is very good
Breads and pastries with a different fresh tart and cake every day, fruits and yoghurts,-even a 0%, cheeses and hams there.
Warm breakfast though consisted of scrambled eggs and bacon, no vegetables at all and anything else omelettes, boiled eggs, pancakes etc etc were on extra cost. I don’t think a hotel if this level should be so stingy, it’s not logical
I would also expect some healthy choices for cereal, oat or oat muesli, nuts etc to be available on the cereal buffet
Also there was no almond, soy or fat free milk available
These details make the difference as far as 5 star hotels are concerned
That said, there was a gluten free muesli available
Rooms were comfortable although not big
Stylish with good bedding-I would say that pillows were to “empty” , need replacement and I loved that duvets were covered and not reused
Toiletries were nice, although not religiously replaced and more fit for men
Loved the nespresso machine and bathrobes
Excellent tv quality
Wonderful terrace, large with excellent views
No air conditioning for cooling, a bit too hot in winter as you cannot control it from your room. But I kindly asked the reception and switched heating off,no problems
Parking is available and for additional cost you park in a covered area
I enjoyed tremendously my stay and. Highly recommend this hotel
My comments serve as an effort to improve even more

We spent a wonderful weekend with my wife there. Hotel is set on a great central location with beautiful lake & mountains’ view, offering modern and spacious rooms, a high quality peruvian restaurant, a wonderful alpine modern lounge to rest and a very nice spa area to relax. Opportunity areas are the service (eg. getting a table at the terrace as residents proved .. too hard, while being served there took unreasonably long) and the hotel’s breakfast (small variety offered overall, while residents are asked to pay extra/on top 15-20+ chf to order any type of eggs dish - unheard of and totally unacceptable for an expensive 5stars hotel).

A wonderful new year here. Ski hire is within the hotel and the guys would bring your kit to you every morning. The decor is very classy and relaxing, we found our room exceptionally quiet which we cannot say about some places. The pool and spa are lovely, the gym is very well equipped. The only minor issue we had was the 100m walk to and from the slopes which was very icy some days. Would definitely go back.

Definitely not a 5 stars hotel. Staff was friendly but the service was not meeting expectations. This is the first time I see a waiter clearing the table and throwing all the breadcrumbs on the floor and the seats. Really?

Given the current covid situation, we would have expected to see waiters sanitize the tables between clients, which obviously did not happen when we were there.

Last but not least, we were freezing in our room and were told that they could not raise the temperature (because the hotel is eco label or whatever).

Bottom line, it was a pleasant stay but we will not come back.

Any hotel that markets closet space on top of parking lot as a 5 star luxury should not be in business. But since you’re in Switzerland, welcome to Swiss Rip-Off!
While there are many very nice mountain chalet hotels in Crans Montana, the Ambassador lures with promised modern amenities and luxury spa/fitness - all of them third rate level, and once you put the suitcase in to the room, there’s no space for you (except for tiny bed). Find better accommodation and don’t overpay at this Motel.

Dear Madame, Dear Sir Thank you very much for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. I am very sorry to read that you did not enjoy our hotel. As mentioned on our website, we have several different room categories with different sizes, views and prices. The room you have chosen is our most standard room facing North and clearly indicated as a small room. I regret that you left our hotel on a negative note as the whole team of the Crans Ambassador is constantly aiming to provide high quality service to all our guests. With my best regards Katja Marshall

So today we, my 84 year-old mother, brother and wife, went to Ambassador hotel to try out the bar around 4:50PM. Ambassador is a member of SLH and as a Hyatt Globalist I am always interested in sampling new SLH hotels for future stays. The terrase and restaurant areas are clearly visible from the lobby and were essentially empty, except for 2 tables.

Much to my surprise the lady at the front desk looked at us and, I suppose because we were not staying there, said "sorry we are full". You know much like when you show up at a famous night club and they don't recognize you and say "sorry this is a pricate party". I am not sure what the issue was in our case, I explained that we just want to have a drink and she repeated "sorry sir, we are full". It was just weird because she could have pointed out to a certain dress code (the guests at the 2 tables were not particularly well dressed), or guests only policy or anything else but "we are full" just seemed like an ironic and unpleasant way of turning us down.

We ended up at a much nicer place and did not regret, but I have removed the Amabassador from my list. Having stayed at serious 5 star properties around the world and coming here straingt from Intercon in Paris we felt particularly unwelcome here.

We had high expectations for the price we paid. Sadly none were fulfilled. We paid over 1800 CHF for two nights. Simple breakfast with limited selection, you had to pay more for vegetables for example. Very limited spa access (1h max per day due to COVID, which was not on their site nor when I called in). Swiss restaurant was very disappointing as they only offered fondue and Raclette. We got two sandwiches to go and got charged over 60 CHF! The Asian restaurant was excellent and staff were very nice, but clearly they were overwhelmed by the staff / guest ratio.

We stayed as a family of 8 for a ski holiday at the Crans Ambassador for 7 nights. The hotel is stunning, and ideally located. The quality of food during breakfast and dinner was superb. The staff all across the hotel were kind, attentive and easy to speak to. Apart from a mishap during the first dinner (slow delivery of food) which was rectified by extra attention, all was great. The gentlemen looking after the ski material were incredible and made the experience even better. Great hotel, definitely recommended.

We had the most magical stay at this hotel, we’ll definitely be coming back.

From the moment we arrived at the train station and Claudio came to pick us up with the airport shuttle, we knew we were going to be taken care of with the highest standard.

We were given a welcome tea on checkin and we drank this at the beautiful bar with the stunning views over the mountains as the sunset.

The staff were excellent and so welcoming but Claudio and Alexandre went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was flawless.

I highly recommend getting their amazing breakfast in your room for 20 Euros extra, it’s well worth it.

The spa was such a treat and the perfect place to relax while admiring the view.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my family. Our experience was nothing short of first class, from the initial reservation experience by phone and email to the check out and car loading by the Concierge and Bell Boys. It was by far our most relaxing and enjoyable ski break, the food, the spa, the organisation and attention to detail (even during COVID), blew us away. We would like to extend special thanks to Mrs Marshall, Aline, Antoine, Maxime and Virgina. We'll hopefully see you again soon. Best wishes, Mr Riches and family.

Hi Caroline, I don't think the hotel offers shuttle service. We rented a car and drove to the hotel. Otherwise you might want to take a train to Sierre then take the funicular to go up the mountain. But you will have to walk uphill to the hotel from the funicular station. Or you could take a cab or call uber when you arrive at Sierre to get to the hotel.
