We stayed at the Alpina and Savoy in July 2006. We were attending a conference at Le Regent and this was one of the recommended hotels. We found it was a fantastic place to stay. The owner was available on site and takes great pride in his family's hotel. The dining room was elegant but not overly pretentious and the food on demi-pension was fabulous. We enjoyed speaking French with all the staff who were quite tolerant of our language errors and would speak English if we preferred. The rooms and beds were great including new bathrooms and room darkening shades. The location is great and convenient enough to the Montreux jazz festival for a quick evening. My family and I stayed for a week in January 2014 at A&S, booked as a part of a ski package through Inghams in the UK. We all really enjoyed our stay. It was a real Swiss experience: a family run, boutique Alpine hotel. Beautiful views over the Alps from comfortable, un-fussy but spacious rooms. The hotel offered a warm lounge area and a very smart dining room. The highlight for us was the fantastic food at dinner. Not one course disappointed during the whole week. Our party consisted of three generations of family and everyone was impressed rarely leaving anything on a plate (mind you mountain air and skiing does generate a healthy apetite!)
We were fortunate to meet the head chef (first name Rampesh - spelling unknown) who is a Thai but trained in Switzerland. His attention to detail is amazing with special recommendation for his desserts.
In general the service is very good in a pleasantly understated but thorough way. Typically Swiss. This is a subtle point because it could be interpreted as a bit indifferent particularly as the command of English isn't brilliant. However, push through this and we found we had many friendly conversations and were given useful advice.

During our ski holidays this winter we stayed in this excellent hotel in Crans-Montana. Alpina & Savoy is mamaged by the delightful Jean and Marianne in the third generation. The top situated family 4 star hotel is very close to the heart of the shopping strip in Crans and only some hundret meters away from the slopes. The view from the rooms into the mountains is unvorgettable and the evenings in the launch by the fireplace to die for.

Chosen on the basis that it is a 4* hotel with a pool and gym, apparently recently renovated I hoped it would provide my young family with a relaxing and luxurious holiday. We were however suprised and disapointed despite the pricing, to find the hotel was very out of date and tatty (balcony low railing very unsuitable for kids, gym a joke, basically everything built 30 yrs ago). Food evening ok but clearly much of the breakfast came from a tin/jiuce from a carton. Our room was very noisy (could hear next door room , lift and hotel kitchen) and a move to another room on the second night was only worse. We looked at other 4* hotels in the area in the hope to change hotels but unfortunately all were full, they were all streets ahead in terms of decor and child friendlyness, and were in fact cheaper. In the end we decided to cut short our hoilday and go home. The staff were friendly, but really it should not be more than 2* with prices to suit. I relly don t understand how it has 4*?

We stayed here for a skiing holiday in Crans Montana and had a great week - we did have a good deal on the holiday through Inghams. The staff at the hotel went out of their way to make us feel welcome and we enjoyed the sunny terrace with its fabulous mountain panorama, swimming pool and sauna, which was spacious and HOT! The food, from the talented Thai chef, was outstanding - delicious and beautifully presented. It's only a 3 minute walk to the Crans lift and you can usually ski back to the base of the lift at the end of the day.

We stayed many times at this wonderful hotel. The food was delicious and we had many choices to choose from. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were big and had a lovely view on the mountains. Don't forget to try the charcoal Raclette. The terrace is just stunning. We will be back!

We spent in the hotel our New Year holidays with our children. The stuff was helpful and friendly, they took personal care to all our needs (like daily transfer to Signal by hotel car). Location is just perfect, 5 minutes walk to the ski lift. Food was good, New year gala dinner was really great! Spacenter-perfect!

We had the most wonderful stay at this hotel. A family run hotel with many lovely touches, fruit in the room on arrival, not to mention fabulous room with wonderful views and huge balcony. The food was exceptional, Blandine was the most charming waitress, excellent English and so pleasant and helpful. The dining room was beautiful with amazing views. The hotel put on complimentary transport to our ski lessons to the base of Grand Signal which was so helpful. Breakfast was a wonderful selection of hot and cold, teas and coffees all beautifully laid out. The pool is perfect, a lovely size with towels and robes, we loved coming back to the hotel for a swim after skiing, and then a fabulous meal. We loved our stay and would really love to come back. Many thanks to all the staff for a really lovely stay.
