We spend an amazing three days at The Hayloft chalet which locates at the end of the valley. It is a real Swiss chalet in all senses. The view from our room on mountains including Altels was astonishing. The room,as well as all chalet, is cozy and relaxing. First day we had dinner which was cooked by Peter and Kerry....

We were invited here by friends for a 7 day break. They have been before many times, so we knew it must be lovely. However nothing prepared us for the amazing scenery, friendly welcome, superb food and hospitality offered by hosts Kerry and Peter. The house itself is very pretty both outside and in. Comfortable beds, warm, clean rooms, nothing...

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the hayloft, having never stayed in B&B accommodation before we were so glad that we did and that we chose the hayloft. The hosts Kerry and Peter are 2 of the most friendly and knowledgable people you could wish to meet and certainly make you feel more than welcome in their...

Run by a really fun and welcoming couple, we loved our stay at the Hayloft. We enjoyed a great dinner both nights and the very warmest hospitality. Kinda like joining the family. My only criticism was the charge on using the hot tub, but I'd happily go back. Nice Swiss experience.

Thank you very much for your review of your stay in mid-February last year (not April). We are pleased that you were happy here. It is worth remembering that a six person wood fired hot tub takes a lot of wood and time to heat, hence our charge for usage. It is offered as an optional enhancement to your stay....

We used the Hayloft as 'basecamp' for our 3-day hikingtrip. The first night we stayed with six friends in one big room which actually used to be the hayloft of the house. After our 3 day-trip we stayed in 3 separate rooms. The entire b&b is renovated and decorated real cosy and with great respect for the original features of...

The Hayloft was highly recommended and we weren't disappointed in the slightest. Peter and Kerry are the perfect hosts and made our stay just that bit more wonderful! Very comfortable room for all the family, we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Breakfast was cracking and made all the better for great conversation. We were sad to leave and can't wait to...

The Hayloft is a little slice of heaven. It is situated in a stunning valley, has hiking trails on it's doorstep and the rooms are comfortable. The house is impeccably cared for by Kerry and Peter as well as the guests that descend on them. Nothing was too much to ask and we were made to feel at home from...

I loved everything about it. The house, the room, the view, the bathroom, breakfast.. Everything was perfect. As been said a dozen times before: Kerry and Peter are incredible hosts. They have many great stories and a good sense of humor. I laughed a lot and felt at home. Thanks for the amazing experience!

Cannot explain how happy I was with my stay. Kerry and Peter are the most incredible hosts. I highly recommend booking the hot tub for at least one night. Kerry and Peter made me feel so comfortable on my solo trip to Kandersteg. They offered great advice on hiking trails and restaurants that I would enjoy. I truly felt at...

We had a wonderful stay. Kerry and Peter welcomed us as friends. The hayloft is a beautiful renovated house within walking distance to the center of Kandersteg. The rooms are spotless and the breakfast and dinner were absolutely wonderful. Thank you Kerry and Peter! We will come back for the kletersteig and for all the laughs and jokes we had!

The Hayloft is 1200m above sea level, south-facing and stands in about two acres of its own meadowland. The property is bordered by a trout stream and is very quiet; it has its own private access track and there is NO passing traffic. We have a superb outdoor hot tub for you to use. The house boasts stunning mountain views (over 3,600m) in every direction, clear views of glaciers and a magnificent waterfall. The Hayloft is about 1 mile from the centre of the village of Kandersteg in the Bernese Oberland. Kandersteg is a rural working village but has a parallel tourist-based economy.
