Whilst often thought of as an airport hotel, the Wallawwa is a fabulous boutique hotel than happens to be just 15minutes from the airport. Set in beautiful gardens, the setting is tranquil and peaceful, the rooms tastefully appointed and extremely comfortable, the meals as delicious and the staff really friending and helpful. If your tired or achy after travel the...

The hotel is beautiful and that's why I decided to start the first night of my honeymoon at this hotel. the food, amenities and staff is amazing. I wish we got to the hotel a bit more early as we had to make a very early start from the hotel on the next day. but its just amazing and will...

We stayed in the honeymoon suite whilst at The Wallawe. The suite was big enough for a family of 10. It had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, it's own outdoor pool and all the mod cons you'd expect from a 5* hotel. Location - A little hidden gem near the airport and is arguably the best hotel in the region...

We only stayed here one night at the start of our trip, but it was exactly what we needed after a jam-packed stopover in Dubai and a four-hour flight. The whole place feels so serene, and the hotel, grounds, and pool are lovely. Our garden room was simple but comfortable with a good bed and a huge bathroom. Dinner and...

Great hotel, comfortable room, one of the best massages in Sri Lanka, lovely food - our first hoppers! Large and swimmable pool. Garden tour with Sajith to see all the vegetables and fruit grown for the restaurant. Free and fast internet. One of the three great hotels we stayed in in Sri Lanka.

We spent just one night here on our last night in Sri Lanka before heading to the airport. Our only regret is that we didn't have longer at this beautiful place! The Gardens were peaceful and tranquil, and the rooms large and comfortable. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner of Sri Lankan curries and all of the staff were extremely friendly...

We only stayed as a stop over and it was lovely. Great staff and everything was very reasonably priced for the standard. We decided to have a massage and glad we did as it was the best price for one in everywhere we stayed. It was lovely and so perfect after a long flight. We then drank beautiful cocktails and...

The Wallawwa is a beautiful, boutique hotel in a converted colonial manor house. It is set in acres of lush gardens and manicured lawns scattered with day beds and couches. You can play croquet on lawn, swim in the secluded pool or have complimentary tea and cake at 3 o'clock on the wide verandah. Although they could do with extra...

The Wallawwa was our first stop after arriving in Sri Lanka and it was a wonderful welcome to the country! The hotel staff were so helpful throughout our stay. They welcomed us with cold drinks and cold towels upon arrival at the hotel, showed us to our room which was decorated beautifully to celebrate our honeymoon, and even brought us...

When you read that a hotel is 15 mins from the airport you think perhaps noisy, functional and convenient. But no! Lo and behold, there's Wallawwa. It IS a 15 minute drive from the airport but is a hidden treasure down a narrow, dirt road. We were on the last day of a 15 night trip to Sri Lanka and...
