Stayed here for one night at the very start of our Sri Lankan vacation and would have happily stayed longer. Beautiful setting, the W is an old Colonial style coaching house (a latter day upscale motel) with all mod cons added. Staff were extremely helpful and welcoming and our room was great. Extremely good menu and we enjoyed an excellent...

We were recommended this place by our daughter who stayed there 2 years ago. It's a good choice for an overnight stop to chill out and recover from your long flight. The food is much better quality than the room rate suggests, chef definitely on good form when we were there. It's is only a 15 minute transfer from the...

After about a 30 minute drive from the airport our driver took a small turning off a busy road and we suddenly arrived at the peaceful haven, which is this hotel. We received a warm welcome for our one night. Large, vwell appointed room and huge bathroom. An excellent dinner, not a bad night's sleep considering the time difference and a...

The minute you arrive, you know that you are somewhere very special. The Wallawwa is a quaint, beautifully restored building with mature ornamental gardens. I stayed in a garden suite which was spacious and pristine, the bathroom was vast with an amazing open shower that could probably fit a young elephant in, the toiletries were lovely. The pool area is...

This hotel is much better than just being close to the airport. We only stayed here briefly and we sad that we had not been able to stay here for longer. The service and food are top class and the setting is serene. We will stay here longer when we come back

Great place to start your trip in Sri Lanka as it's not far from the airport but feels very secluded and tucked away in jungle surroundings. Stunning high ceiling rooms with modern facilities and a beautiful bathroom. Staff were great as was the food, all round excellent stay.

Fabulous stays both on arrival and departure to Colombo. The staff are very friendly, warm and professional. Highly recommend, a great convenient stop for the airport but a world away from 'airport' hotels. Plus the food is delicious best kottu roti of our trip! Lovely large comfy bed too.

We have never contributed to TripAdvisor but felt the need to after our wonderful stay at the Wallawwa. Such a beautiful place and so friendly. The staff were amazing, so helpful and probably the most genuine we have ever come across. They were incredibly kind to our two young boys. The pool is idyllic, just what the doctor ordered after...

We stayed here for a night either side of our trip to Sri Lanka, for a convenient hotel close to the airport. It is more than sufficient for this, and provides a relaxing stop after or before a long haul. Very friendly, helpful staff. Good relaxing areas and pool. Food was a great too. All in all a great hotel.
