We were a group of 3 students staying in Carlow for work for a little over 3 weeks. We had minor internet connection issues checking in but they resolved themselves quickly. Dermot let us use their personal hotspot in the meantime if we were having difficulties. The rooms were quaint and comfortable. Anna did our laundry for us, which is...

We were a group of 11 friends who took the place for 7 nights as a base for Dublin and surrounding sights. Dermot and Anna were fabulous hosts and the rooms were perfect... Breakfast, most ample and good!!! Dermot helped us arrange a bus for two days to Dublin with a local company that was reasonable and got us where...

Great clean guesthouse within easy walking distance to the town centre, Very helpful owners and lovely breakfast, there were even umbrellas available for those Irish showers! We stayed in their smallest room but it was not that small and perfect for our needs.

Had an excellent stay at Barrowville, a beautiful old house. The rooms are warm, cosy and really clean. Breakfast was delicious, a really nice full Irish perfectly cooked with good coffee. Dermot, the host, is a nice guy who's easy to chat to. I'd definitely stay here again.

On our recent vacation to Ireland we stayed one night at Barrowville Town House in Carlow. They were very accommodating even though we arrived earlier than expected. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, although there were some things that could be updated or repaired it was comfortable much like staying with family. The house is beautiful, a warm and...

To think, we got to stay here because Christy Moore didn't this time! Comfortable, great views, warm welcome, and the best recommendation for restaurant meal prior to the Christy Moore concert! Great location within walking distance of the down town venue and restaurants and pubs. THANK YOU!

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Barrowville Town House on Saturday 26th September. It is everything it says on the website and more. We had a fabulous room which we were more than comfortable in with two windows looking straight out onto the private garden. From start to finish our experience was most enjoyable. Carlow has so...

I had almost passed Barrowville and thankfully as there was no traffic in my lane I was able to reverse my car and drive into the private car park. On a dark, wet, September evening it was a delight to enter the door of this lovely, spacious late Georgian townhouse and be welcomed so warmly. It was the perfect place to...
