We stayed just one night as we were attending a wedding locally. They were very welcoming here, allowing us to check in early. Our room was very nice and bathroom with a bath was lovely. Breakfast the next day was delishious and all options were catered for. The gardens looked beautiful but as it was poring with rain we didn't...

Barrowville Town House is actually an Irish gem. Beautiful exterior/ interior, elegant but homely Irish family home from the Regency period -, Dermot and Anna Smyth are welcoming hosts. Soft beds and fine breakfasts! Have stayed before and will again. It's almost hidden from the main road, so slow down to locate !

I stayed here one night with two relatives for a family occasion, one of them had stayed here before, we took three rooms, arrived late one evening, left in the morning. It's a beautiful house built in the 18th century with high ceilings, and lovely sitting room and conservatory where the owner serves an excellent cooked breakfast. The rooms were...

Barrowville Guest House is a beautiful house filled with antiques. Our rooms were large and had everything you could possibly need. Dermot & Anna are very welcoming hosts and serve incredible breakfasts. They sent us to a great Pub within walking distance.

Carlow must be the centre of b+b perfection because this gem is ranked at number 5. I have stayed all over the world in fine guest houses and Barrowville ranks with the best. If you seek quiet and subtle sophistication this for you. Hen parties would be happier elsewhere!

Barrowville is an outstanding B&B. One of the very best places my wife an I stayed during our 30 day bicycle tour of Ireland. Room was squeaky clean, very spacious, bright, quiet, and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. A good value. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for one night. The room was excellent value for money, plus the owners were very nice. The breakfast was just as good as it was when the previous owners were there. It is well maintained, with good attention to detail. Very enjoyable.

Stayed here for 2 nights in September. Staff were very helpful and accommodating on phone when making the booking. The house is just beautiful, really lovely, full of character. The room itself was gorgeous, up on the top floor. The breakfast both mornings was lovely.

Started off our two-week Irish family vacation at Barrowville Town House in Carlow and I couldn't have asked for a better location. The old house was beautiful, stately and full of character. The gardens in the back of the house were spectacular and the couple, who own and run it are the nicest people imaginable! They made our short stay...
