Arrived not knowing what to expect, over what the locals call the 'oh my god' bridge, to find a real jewel. Staff were great, most had good enough English to accommodate us with pigeon Spanish. We did the zip wires and forest walk with Carlos and team who were inexhaustibly knowledgeable and fun. Saw spider monkey, toucan, blue jeans frog,...

Ok, so being from Texas we want ice, ice cold rooms and King size beds. All these can be gotten here IF YOU UPGRADE. We were inn a grip of 40+ and got the regular suites. Now wait a mixture, we liked them after we got use to them (one night) and even feel inn love with them. I had...

What a place. Certainly off the beaten path. Upon our tour arrival we had to disembark the bus and walk across a hanging bridge over a gorgeous river to get to the grounds. turns out we found a bridge you could drive over when we took a walk around the grounds. There's a pond, in-ground pool, hot tub ... the...

This hotel is a very nice resort that is well-cared for and is a hidden jewel that we could only book through Bookit. It is in an out of the way area but very centrally located if you want to do wildlife viewing in the rich jungles of the Sarapiqui region on the lower slope and lowlands on the Caribbean...

We stayed two nights in room 16. Very nice large, sound proof room with a private porch over looking a pond with a bird tree, covered with lots of roosting heron and other birds in the evening. We were lucky enough to also have a colony of eight bats hanging out on the wall next to our porch. The room...

Don't let the two suspension bridges put you off getting into the Hotel Hacienda it's worth it. We were spoilt as we had almost 24 hours being the only two people at this hotel. It felt like our own bit of paradise Yes the place looks a bit tired in places but that's down to the weather and the impact...

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights as the first main stop on our honeymoon in Costa Rica. The hotel itself is fantastic and the staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. You never had to wait long to be served or assisted in any way. We loved our room. It was rustic and basic with no real amenities such...

This was the first stop on our Costa Rica adventure. This lodge has a lovely natural setting by the river and is quite secluded. It never felt busy and it has a nice area to relax with rocking chairs overlooking a pond and the pool. The staff were lovely and the food was typical Costa Rican, which was to our...

This hotel has duplexes spread out over a wide area. You reach them by walking along covered walkways. Some rooms have sweeping views of the grounds from private balconies. Ours had only a limited view of the jungle. The room was sort of dark inside with only one dim lamp on the ceiling, but it was clean and comfortable. The...
