We booked 2 nights at the hotel with the focus on a culinary experience. We were not disappointed.
From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed, the atmosphere there feels good.
The amount of restoration done on this building is unbelievable and as much as possible kept in the original style.
We had a monastery room and all the small details had been well thought out, even down to the wc being separate from the bathroom ( always a plus point)
The restaurant was immaculate, friendly staff and an extremely organized kitchen.
The whole evening was full of surprises from beginning to end.
Delicious food served as it should be, food for the eyes and the stomach.
The bed in the room was like sleeping on a cloud and the hotel was so quiet through the night, you certainly get a good nights rest.
The next morning the surprises kept on coming ,breakfast was out of this world.
You get a menu to browse over but don’t need to choose because you get a taster of everything.
Delicious coffee and of course the bubbles made it extra special.
100% worth a visit

We had booked a City Zutphen package at the Broederenklooster on the most unlikely day of the year, the first working day, Monday January 6. We turned out to be the only guests in the restaurant in the evening (review there). The train was delayed by two hours due to a malfunction, it was windy and with flurries it rained as well.
We all didn't notice that when we were received in the Broederenklooster, because we were warmly welcomed, with coffee and something delicious. That was a good start!
After a partly rainy, partly blown city walk, again very welcome, with a charcuterie board (not to mention -you) and a cocktail (of your choice from the wide range).

The room was fine. Neat, all the amenities you expect and tastefully decorated with a good bed and sanitary facilities (separate toilet). We slept very well there.

The next morning we got a three-course breakfast. A unique one for us and very, very, very rewarding. Just like the night before (again: see restaurant) all homemade delicacies, up to the box with their own smoked ham, smoking still going on.

Really enjoyed and compliments for the kitchen and service. What a wonderful experience.

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and also ate in the restaurant. We had a deluxe room and it was very good! I travel a lot for work and am pretty demanding - this room had everything I wanted: nicely decorated with some of the old features of the monastery still visible, a super comfy bed; perfect shower, etc. We had the tasting menu in the restaurant and it was amazing! The flavours were exquisite and it was a feast for the eye as well. We live in London- for a similar experience we would have paid a lot more at home. Overall - top notch!

Enjoyed a 6-course dinner with daughter and son-in-law. Upon entering an empty restaurant, we were put in a corner, I made a comment "what a shame that we can't look into the open kitchen", but that was not responded to. We were immediately asked whether we wanted still or sparkling water, but later on the bill included a water package of 5.95 per person. I did not find it hospitable, not from a bottle but a normal carafe (Zutphen municipality of lager?) From the hostess couldn't help but laugh (hey, we all have bad days sometimes) but the host made up for it with his enthusiasm. When you visit the toilet you will be surprised by the wine treasury. The food was delicious with lots of variety, but please speak more calmly when explaining.

Excellent food in a great atmosphere.
Attentive and very friendly service.
It was a pampering meal!
We had 3 courses, there were always appetizers to introduce the next course.
The individual dishes were very tasty and imaginatively prepared.
All in all, a success and worth the price.

Restaurant is nice, they make nice dishes. I find it very annoying that they come to the table several times to sell something and throw the prices on the table. It would behoove them to talk less about money

Excellent and beautiful hotel. Great restoration that stays true to period. Very clean. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. The restaurant is fine dining with fixed price and chef choice.

The location is great and centrally located.

Small hotel, connected to a restaurant.
We found the rooms very cosy. Good work desk.
Big tv, double bed (the boxspring in our room seemed to have passed his expiry date though)
Great rain shower, and good bathroom, separate toilet.
Small fridge in the room.
Biggest disadvantage no own parking space, there s public paying parking (but max 4 hours) or parking at the nearby station.
But overall a very nice, warm room in a quiet environment.

In the middle of the pleasant center of Zutphen. Just had a drink here on a sunny afternoon. Beautiful location, very quiet despite being right in the center. Friendly staff and a beautiful herb garden. Food looks beautiful.
