I was very shocked by the reviews regarding this hotel. But because I bought 2 vouchers through holiday auctions (€55 per night including breakfast) I booked 2 nights anyway.
So I had set myself up for a lot of negatives. My experience was very different. On arrival late in the evening we had to call an internal number with the fixed tel. at the desk. Within 2 minutes there was a very friendly receptionist who handed us our key. Moreover, we had received a free upgrade . A room with air conditioning. Delicious, because it was 30 degrees.
I had emailed in advance if we could get a quiet room. That too was arranged. 2nd floor overlooking greenery.
The room was clean. Double bed, coffee facilities and air conditioning so available.
Breakfast is just good. Delicious breakfast outside on terrace.
The hotel is very well maintained. You could call the idd outdated and I imagine that when you pay the top prize, you are critical.
I (and partner) stayed 2 nights for a price of €110 including breakfast. With deduction breakfast at €17.50 pp we slept for €10 pp per night. Then the imo is a great deal.
Incidentally, I found the staff all extremely friendly.
I would definitely go back.

Had a very comfortable 2 night stay here with work in July. We arrived after a very long day at 11pm, got swiftly checked in and to our delight found the bar still open. Had a couple of beers and headed to our rooms. The rooms were clean and tidy, had everything we needed. Very much reminded me of a premier inn room. Breakfast was self service, and had a nice variety of cheeses, breads, meats, jams etc as well as some bacon and eggs.
Staff were very friendly
Didn’t get to try the gym sadly.

What an intensely sad experience. We paid inc. Tourist tax 95 euros per night for a “comfort” room WITHOUT breakfast. The comfort was hard to find. Room was dirty, holes in the towels, makeshift repairs to furniture. My towel was wet (used?). I wanted to call reception but got a voicemail 3 times. Bought a towel myself. “Coffee and tea making facilities” were a sachet of instant coffee and a kettle in a paper cup. The hotel is located on an industrial estate. View of the job. A 45-minute walk to the historic center of Zutphen. Fortunately, there were “wellness facilities”. At least a dirty cold swimming pool where the water barely reaches above your waist and 1 really tired sauna with a pungent sweat smell. It was bad, it was embarrassing and way too expensive for what was offered. Never again a Fletcher for us. Certainly not in Zutphen.

Noisy rooms, a double mattress on two box springs works as a wake-up call at night. If your partner turns over, you will also wake up due to all the movements that the mattress causes. We therefore see 17.50 for a meager choice of cheaper meats as an additional revenue model. Around 10 euros would have been reasonable.

We expected a 4 star accommodation but were provided a 2 star accommodation with accompanying service. Room and certainly the bathroom are dated and minimally furnished. Screaming in the hallway at night. The first night we accepted it. However, on the 2nd night at 1 a.m. a group of wedding-goers thought they had to continue the party in the pool of the hotel and make this known audibly for the entire corridor, while people were sleeping there. I addressed them, but that was met with a big mouth. Reason to call reception. It wasn't stopped. It remained noisy until 4:00 a.m. The reception was repeatedly unmanned during the day. Checking out was only possible after asking a restaurant employee to find a receptionist. After waiting more than 10 minutes, we could finally check out. I also complained on the spot.

I loved my stay at Fletcher. I was nervous before I arrived as I'm vegan and wondered if there would be anything for me to eat, but the chefs were wonderful and cooked me delicious food all week. The staff are all really lovely and kind and helpful and if you enjoy sport and activities the facilities are fantastic.

On site was mentioned “ new” hotel , now modified . 4 stars , maybe formerly , now Max . 3 ? No elevator , “small staircase “ , about 8 steps is difficult with luggage. Noisy building, noisy guests. Room dated , curious judo art a d wall behind bed . Aircon was fine/needed. In the hallway very hot. Quiet area. Restaurant scores heavily insufficient ; Have reported findings verbally and by mail. Was , also named "chaos" by crew themselves. Food was overcooked, dessert sloppy presentation. In short; not recommended.

The location is fine, the entrance and the restaurant also fine. The rooms I find very dated. Especially the bathroom needs a huge refurbishment. A hair dryer that really can't, a shower curtain and no power outlet. The fan could also be replaced with and air conditioning. So Fletscher provide a fresh update! Then it's a fine hotel.

To start positively, the bed was fine. Furthermore, the entire hotel is in need of renovation and modernization. Pool and Sauna were closed. Was not yet on the site with books and no effort was made to compensate. Restaurant, dinner daily menu what was offered on the menu was not there. Chosen main course was undercooked.
