This was one of the worst "ocean front" hotels I have ever stayed in. The view from our room was horrible and they called it an "ocean view" room. The staff was friendly but I literally only saw about 3 people working max everyday. The...More

Silver point is not in the heart of Bridgetown and the beach next door is more for surfing than swimming. Other than that, it's a nice boutique hotel. A short cab or van ride from the best beaches on the island.

There is public transportation on the island, the fare is $2USD if I am not mistaken, however the nearest bus stop is 0.5 miles from the hotel. They may not allow you to get on the bus with bulky luggage. You may check out the Barbados airport website(ground transportation) to see if there is a bus route to the hotel area or email the hotel directly. Normally all guests arrive by taxi or rental cars. Taking a bus may be inconvenient and the savings minimal.
