Just what we needed a private villa out of town in tranquil area but 10 taxi to downtown.
Perfect to chill all day in private quite low rise area close to the beach and traditional Thai family homes.
Then quick ride to the downtown nightlife.
Best of both worlds...

Staff very friendly Respectful for your privacy but available any time.

We hope to return soon...

If you are looking for a quiet holiday in Thailand without flying to an island then this is a pretty good option.  Just don’t do what we did and confuse Jomtien with Na Jomtien.  This hotel is in Na Jomtien and we were not looking for a holiday quite this quiet!

Na Jomtien is about 15 minutes drive (from Jomtien) or 20 minutes out of Pattaya city, which doesn’t sound like far as anything is 10 or 20 minutes drive away when at home in Australia.

Earlier in the holiday while staying in Jomtien everybody kept asking ‘why we were going out so far away!?’  We soon found out what they meant; it really began to feel far out if you were not chasing a quiet excluded feeling.

There does not seem like much to do in Na Jomtien but go to the beach and relax.

We stayed with two kids in a Executive Suite with 2 bedrooms. The room was really nice, the bedroom itself however a little small. The Palm Grove Resort is located in a very quite street. It is about a 7 minute walk to a little beach, where the hotel provides free umbrellas and sun chairs. The pools at the hotel are pretty small.

The staff is friendly, but not really efficient. The two days we were here we had a lot of problems with the water pressure. While taking a shower there was all of a sudden no more water coming for some minutes. Than only rinsing.... The 2 days they couldn't fix it. The house keeping forgot to make up our room. Breakfast is only average. No cheese, no cold cuts for the "Western" traveller, also for "Thai" disappointing.

The Palm Grove Resort is quite a drive away of Jomtien and Pattaya. If you are looking for a very quite place - fine. If you want to be closer to the Jomtien shopping, restaurant etc. area, better pick another hotel.

Upon check-in, I was requested, either to sign a document allowing unlimited charge of my credit card, or to proceed with a security deposit of Baht 5,000 (USD 170 approx). Not the nicest welcome, indeed....
I had booked a Grand pool villa one bedroom (which is, in fact, a three bedrooms villa which doors of bedroom #2-#3 are locked !)
The hotel isn't built within a large land property, but with small houses along small public streets, quite unusual. So you may have a private villa next to your pool villa. Since frame/windows are quite cheap, don't be surprised to be woken up at night by a ioud noise, such as motorbike going fast, etc...
Upon arriving to the villa, the cleaning system of the pool was broken, and overall, despite the fact this resort is supposed to have opened only 3 years ago, it seems maintenance is really very poor, lots of things are not working properly, air conditioning is very noisy, etc...
Still, the villa is large, clean, peaceful as promised, and the place is relatively comfortable.
Except: matress, cheap and hard, pillows (same, cheap and hard).
Piping is not working that well but ok, not such a big deal.
The sofa in leaving room are not very nice either. Finally, the best place to seat is on the floor.
Amenities are poor (not even cotton buts)
Breakfast is really cheap and bad: bit of steam rice, fried potatoes, sausages, a bit of sliced bread with VERY cheap marmelade... that's about it, no fresh coffee, chemical orange juice, that's all what you'll get, so it's just good if you are really hungry.
The place is far from the noise of the city, which is is great to my view.
But there is no beach > Nearest beach is about 2 km away
Say: it's a relatively nice place to come over with friends for one evening or two, eventually partying, but it's not the right place if you aim at a quiet pool villa with good service next to the sea.
A bit overpriced as well to my view.
Staff is average, not unfriendly, just not really concerned.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa with private pool. The apartment is double storey therefore quite hot upstairs which means you need to leave the airconditioner on 24/7. There are no shops nearby for any necessities such as cereal or milk. The restaurant and room service is reasonably priced compared to home - but probably expensive compared to prices in Pattaya. The resort offers a taxi service into town for 500 baht each way - but if you walk to the main road and hail a baht bus its only 20 baht per person to get close to town and another 20 baht per person on the baht bus to take you to the sea front and shops.
We stayed for a week and found out on the last day -that we could have hired a private taxi for 1200 baht per day or 7000 baht for the whole week to have a car with a driver- that would have been well worth it. The resort and really all of Pattaya is not geared up to provide tourists with information on available tours. We spent approx 1 hour with a private driver on our last day and found out more about the town and how big it was than we did in our whole week here.
Apart from that the apartment is lovely and has nice furnishings, tvs, sound system. The laundry service is quite reasonable - but for a longer stay i would have liked our own washing machine at least.
If you want a nice place to stay away from the crowds and want everything done for you then this would be a good choice

Negative atmosphere, moody unhelpful, ignorant staff, crap food (imagine a kebab salad dressed up to look like a caesar salad), on a dirty road with stray dogs, villas are side by side with locals houses who talk loud outside until late.

Didn't sleep well all week. The promise of peace and tranqulity is ruined by the very noisy pool pump which it situated right below our bedroom window. It starts at 7am. The en suite bathroom pump also makes large banging noises throughout the night (at first my wife thought we were being broken into!!).

The decor is old fashioned and rooms are sparsely furnished. No chairs on the balcony, no chair in bedroom to put clothes on, nothing to put your toothbrush into in the bathroom.

In the fridge you get 20% apple juice from concentrate, which sums up the whole place.

If the service people were motivated or bothered it might make this place bearable but it's hard to enjoy somewhere that you feel you are an extra burden.

Mutton dressed as lamb.

Outstanding private accomodations. The villa we stayed in was amazing. Spacious open floorplan downstairs and the 3 bedrooms were luxurious, spacious and immaculate.
The swimming pool offers a great early morning/ late evening relaxation spot after a full day exploring Pattaya and the surrounding area.
Scooter rentals are cheap and the best way to get around.
If you want to stay close to your villa the restaurant at the resort has excellent food. If you want to venture out there are hundreds of eateries of all styles close by.
Have been twice now. Once with friends and the second time on my honeymoon.
Highly recommended!

Palm Grove is located about 10 minute's drive from Jomtien Beach and is a quiet getaway from the hustle & bustle. Great apartments, good food and great service. Bar lacks atmosphere but is in keeping with the serenity of the place. Two pools, nice grassy areas with pagodas for lounging by the pools. Private beach just a minute or two's walk. Good traditional massage, manicure etc.

This is our third stay at Palm Grove and the Resort becomes better every time. The First time we visited the place wasn't completely finished, with the second part of the resort still being a construction site. The resort har evolved and become a hidden gem, with spacious villas and apartments. The pool isn't that big and it's a 15 minutes taxi ride to Jomtien/Pattaya, but the service is excellent, rooms are modern and beautiful og the resort is quiet and well managed. As usual we stayed in the 101sq m apartment. We usually ate one meal at the resort (very good) and ate dinner in Jomtien and Pattaya in the evenings. There was no problem getting a taxi to and from Pattaya, to the golf course (Phoenix) or to Sattahip (Ko Samet). It's a 5 min walk to the private beach and the restaurant even drove down with lunch.Excellent!!!We will be back soon:)

Travelling with a 6-month old baby,I was looking for a home away from home and selected Palm Grove Resort for its 3-bedroom villa for our group of 7 people. The villa is cozy, very spacious, and well-maintained. The food ordered from the room service is delicious and the price is reasonable.

The only major drawback during our visit was the noise at night. There was a hotel staff party and they had very loud music until 3 AM.
