Had a great couple of nights stay at the lodge. Kath was great, kept in contact with me before our trip down to ensure she would be there to greet us. Rooms worked out perfectly with separate spaces for everyone. Bathrooms clean and tidy. Fantastic large covered deck which made the place. Great location with only a short bike ride...

We arrived after dark after a long bike ride from Arapuni along the Waikato River trail. They went out and bought us fish and chips as they knew we were tired and would be too late to catch the shop open. That is great service! Great facilities, a lovely place to stay, homely and comfortable with lovely views of the Lake....

Nice lodge to stay in. Separate bedrooms for everyone. Shared toilet/bathroom facilities. Share kitchen and television room. All clean and tidy. Nice quiet place to stay. The fireplace wasn't going but heaters kept the place warm. There was a bbq available but we worked too late to make use of this. The restaurant down the road provided great steaks.

We are doing renovations to our property in Mangakino and needed to stay somewhere for the night. Arrived about 6pm to find that heater was going in both our room and the lounge, a great welcome on a freezing night. Fantastic shower pressure as well. Would definitely stay again and will recommend to others. Thanks Kath

Stayed a night en-route north after a recreational week in the central plateau area. Very friendly and welcoming, very clean, comfortable and quiet. We really enjoyed the peace and tranquility with almost no other guests. It would be great for a larger group of friends to gather. Excellent large kitchen and dining facility for self-catering. The bedroom was quite small,...

Our local tramping club spent five wonderful days at the lodge. The setting was amazing for our large group and the facilities were fantastic. We especially enjoyed the outdoor BBQ area where we would meet and mingle through out the day and evening and discuss our days activities. We enjoyed the access to the River Trails and the lake for...
