I've never been in before but have passed 100s of times. Popped in last night on my way home and was very happy with the quality of food on offer! We had the ribs, haddock goujons, calamari, and baked figs, the dishes were great haddock goujons were huge! Ribs cooked to perfection falling off the bone, I will definitely be...

We were looking forward to eating here as it had come really highly recommended from a friend. To be fair the food was really good....we didn't have an issue with that whatsoever! We travelled for forty minutes to get there and thought it would be worth it but unfortunately we were disappointed. The service was actually the worst I personally...

One of my favourite restaurants . They always go out of their way to make a sauce that they took off the menu a few years ago for me . I always have the steak , and it's cooked to perfection . Scampie is supurb , although this was taken off the menu for some reason ( please put it...

We visited the Rake twice on two consecutive nights. There is an extensive menu not easily recognisable what your choice will look like and wether it will be sufficient . It should be recognised as a Tapas venue perhaps which are normally small spicy dishes. We were a party of four . we chose the rake because it was walking...

Stayed here on several occasions and we cannot fault the place in any way. Rooms are stunning, clean and well worth the money. All have exposed beams and stone walls with modern bathrooms. Really clean. The tapas is great and reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and can't do enough for you. Breakfast is gorgeous and is all organic. The host,...

The outside look quite ordinary compared to what is inside. The room was stunning. Exposed stone, high barn type ceiling en suite was also exposed stone - just beautiful and so tastefully decorated and furnished. There were added extras like current magazines for easy reading. The rooms are up some stone steps to the side of the tapas restaurant. Outside...

Whilst the food was nice the service was poor. It probably didn't help that there was a small party celebrating a land mark birthday and obviously connected to the owners of the Rake. It could be argued that this should have been taken into account by the management and extra staff put on for the evening, but to compound the...

Stayed one night to meet up with friends in the local area. The tapas selection was very good and we found it reasonably priced for the quality and quantity. Was great to try the owners home proced beers. Our room (2) was clean, large and comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional, with home produced bacon and sausages. The only thing I would...

Lovely staff, lovely food. Would go again. Not really much parking around, but is about 10 minutes walk from little bough centre. Where the train station is. A variety of food and I love Sangria so perfect for me. There is a bar area to sit as well if you wanted to sit before or after eating.
