We stayed here for two nights and had a great time. The room is big, beds are comfortable and it is really quiet here. Exept from the church bells, but it didnt bother us. The service is excellent, really nice staff.

Super cute old buildings set in a beautiful surroundings. Room was big and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was okey, general Italian breakfast. The only minus point was the church bells which you couldn't miss. The food in the restaurant was okey but not super good.

We found this place on Trip Advisor while looking around for places in this general area. Carlos was incredibly sweet and efficient and made our stay all the better. The rooms are clean and quiet. We had a junior suite with our 2 girls staying upstairs on two twin beds. The grandparents had a nice double room with plenty of space for luggage. We dined at the restaurant attached to the foresteria. The food was good, locale fare and arrived promptly. I'd recommend this place for travelers looking for a charming location, clean rooms and decent prices. There is a castle next door which is open only on Sundays so we didn't get to go inside, but were able to see the grounds. Great place. Only downside were the church bells which woke most of us up at 4 AM but we all managed to fall back to sleep!

The hotel is on a hill next to a beautiful church. The rooms are a bit run down but clean with no television. Obviously you don't go to Italy to watch TV but I like to watch the news when I get ready in the morning. Breakfast is good and service is also good. If you have trouble sleeping beware of the church bells as you can hear them every 30 minutes...

We stayed here during the truffle season, the hotel is on the top of this little medieval rock, ie in the very centre of what used to be the castle. And so boasts views of all the countryside around (fog permitting!) Formed of just a few rooms, the structure sits at a corner with the restaurant, which is a proper functioning restaurant and quite a good idea if you like rolling into bed after dinner. Unfortunately we didn't get to try the resto so cannot comment on it. Each room is decorated differently, all in a country type of style. Being in the middle of the fields, you may find the random insect in your room - please don't take it on the manager but with Mother Nature! Overall I was happy with the stay, albeit potentially a little overpriced compared to other structures in the langhe, guess you pay for history and the view? What I would recommend people to consider before booking though is the bell of the village church: one of the perks of being on top of the rock is that on the other side of the yard sits the village church, which likes to remind people of the passing of time by chiming the bell on a quarter-of-hour basis, starting at 6am I am told by someone who's not blessed with deep sleep!

My wife and i were looking for a hotel in alba and as truffle season comes to an end most of the hotels were booked, luckily we found availability in Conti Roero, the place was an amazing surprise, first night we had dinner, white truffle available of course and a marvelous Barbaresco. Breakfast was simple but delicious, definitely i would recommend any of my friends to stay here.

After struggling to find accomodation in Piedmont I happened across this website. The reservation process was faultless and was handled quickly and professionally. After a long trip we arrived at Foresteria which is perched on top of a hill at the foot of the owner's castle and has the most magnificent views over the surrounding countryside. The welcome was great with the "chatelaine" showing us around and sending us up to view the castle gardens complete with goat and miniature pony much to the delight of our 3yr old son. the suite we booked was great with antique furnishing yet most importantly a new and spotless bathroom. At 150€/night is was extremely good value and breakfast the next morning was of great quality and was a family affair with the owner's young daughters turning up. The rooms are above a reknowned restaurant which does local specialities. It is perfect for a relaxed evening where you can sample the local wine in the knowledge that you don't have to drive back to your hotel. this is not a place for those travellers expecting all the services of a 5* star hotel but it is an absolute gem for travellers that like to combine luxury with a personal and friendly service that makes you feel like you are at home.
