Not sure I would call this a hotel. It is really a pub with rooms. That being said, the rooms are clean, comfortable and nicely equipped. Good WiFi. We stayed one night for proximity to airport. Taxi fare about $15. Staff called taxi for us and we picked it up out the back door. Pub was popular with locals and...

Lets face it! It's a pub that offers rooms. More of an inn than an hotel. Once you accept that, then you realise that it's a jolly good pub, with jolly good rooms - but don't expect a necessarily jolly hotel service. Once these facts are realised it would be churlish to find a fault with the Captain Cook Hotel....

It's an old neighborhood inn kind of place close to the airport. The rooms upstairs are quaint, clean & comfortable. The price is right. There is a bar & restaurant on site & several more within walking distance. Great for an overnight stay before you fly away!

A little surprised - arrived Thursday night and topless waitress serving - rooms were update and had every thing you would need. Once over the shock - meals were also good - noise levels dropped after 10 pm No room available on our return trip

The price of the taxi negates the price difference between it and the closer airport hotels. The front of the hotel is a rather seedy looking pub. I arrived after 10.30 pm and the pub was being emptied and the manager was busy with a policeman. Neither the manager nor his assistant ( who were the only people looking after...

A beautiful looking hotel with good atmosphere and great food. The patrons were so polite and friendly which I didn't expect for a Sydney pub. The rooms were small but very comfortable, clean with modern decor and bathroom. It is a pub so expect some noise when you are trying to go to sleep. It's close to the airport and...

A bar that serves good beer? Yes. A kitchen that cooks good food? Yes. Entertainment (TV, pool table, slot machines)? Yes. And a bed after all that? Yes. What more could anyone want? I've stayed in a few hotels and this one gave me the most laughs in the sense of fun.

I was dismayed to find the hotel has a big, noisy bar as its front lobby- which makes the hotel arrangement appear like a "dive". The bar is advertised as " husband daycare" where wives can drop off their husbands to have time to themselves. The barmaid checked me in and was friendly, but the room was by a back...

Stayed one nite befor flying out. Rooms are small but very clean. The Rooms are above a tavern so expect some noise, especially during footie season. Not really a problem!. The staff is excellent and very helpful. Great Italian restaurant nearby and pub also serves food. Didn't eat there but others said it was very good. Lots of local color and....
