We had a charming room in a family-owned and operated stone farmhouse, with kiwi, grapes, pears and apples growing on the extensive grounds. Antonio and his wife offered suberb hospitality and work hard to provide it (only 11 rooms so each guest is important). The house dates back to 1755 and has been restored to provide modern conveniences without losing...

This Quinta is a very old traditional Portuguese estate. The walls of my suite were solid stone and at least 18inches deep, but they managed to integrate all the mod cons without damaging the historical feel. I went off season and the resteraunt was under construction, but if their food is anything like their breakfast or rooms, the attention to...

We were 4 couples doing the Camino de Santiago. The hotel is popular with hikers. Very well appointed rooms, the hotel has full amenities in a rural setting, with vineyards, a working farm, kiwi plantations. Rooms are in a few XVIII century buildings. Excellent breakfast buffet included in the price. We booked dinner for 17€ per person and it is...

Check in was the only downside to this hotel. It was very slow and then we had to return our pass ports a second time. There are several rooms based around a court yard and large car park. Our room was large and had coffee making facilities which is rare in Portugal. It also had a large settee. The internet...

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst walking Portuguese Camino, using taxi service for transfers. Received warm welcome and after being shown our rooms our washing was taken away and returned within an hour!. if you are walking Camino will need to book your evening meal at the hotel as there is nowhere within walking distance. The evening meal was very...

Antonio takes great pride in producing a wonderful package. Enter under a ceiling of vines. Overnight stay with a very nice breakfast included. Dinner for €17.00 with a good wine list. If you're walking the Camino arrive early and swim in one of two pools. Relax in a lovely garden. Read in quiet solitude, overlooking the valley below.its only 10K...

Perfect place after a long walk two big minus, we went for a well deserved siesta and vacuum cleaning started next to us, why they don't do it in the morning without disturbing guests a mystery. Breakfast at 08.30, ridiculous when we wanted to be on our way at 07:30 at max

Nice older farm house with large rooms. We had a small kitchen in our studio. The hotel offers dinner and since the village is so small you will have problems on finding any other place to eat unless you bring your own stuff and cook. There are two pools, perfect to relax after a long days walk. Free wi-fi is...

From the moment we arrived we felt pampered and very lucky to be staying at this hotel. The greeting and attention from the staff could not be bettered, and we loved our spacious and comfortable accommodation. The dinner and breakfast were outstanding too. Arcos is a picturesque but not "pretty" working agricultural village, so you get a real feel for...

This charming little hotel was a wonderful surprise after 20+km walking the Camino. The rural setting over looking farms and vineyards was spectacular and the 2 pools were very welcome on a 30C degree day. With only 10 rooms or so, there was lots of space for all. Rooms were quaint and well appointed. Fridges and beverage snacks in all....
