We went to Visby for our silver anniversary and hotel Strandporten really made our stay very romantic and enjoyable. We got upgraded to a suite with a huge terrace overlooking the sea. The room was nicely decorated, the breakfast very good and they serve a lovely complimentary afternoon tea. And - location is great!

Hotel Strandporten was a small, very charming hotel right in the center of the old town. We could walk two blocks to the beach or three blocks to the cathedral. the ferry terminal was about six blocks away. The staff was incredibly helpful and our rooms was very well designed with a great bathroom. No two rooms are the same...

We stayed for two nights in high season and found the Hotel Strandporten to be a gem. Super convenient inside the walled city walking distance from the ferry, the gardens, museums, churches and central square. It was clean, well furnished and the staff was super. A second floor dining area served breakfast and afternoon tea with a garden terrace. Visby...

The hotel strandporten is situated in the middle of the ancient walled city of Visby on Gotland Island, Sweden. The hotel is lovely, with impeccably presented breakfast and afternoon tea, and wonderfully attentive and adorable staff.

Stayed here in March just for one night in business, all in all it was a good stay, nice clean rooms; receptionist was helpful, close to both the water and the main street and to a decent price. The breakfast was maybe a bit on the thin side and as usual i would love to see some options if you...

I stayed in this hotel for three nights during the off-season and really enjoyed my stay. Everything was wonderful--the location, the room, the staff, the breakfast, the afternoon tea. I can't recommend it enough. I would definitely stay here again if I come to Visby.

This trip was a sort of sampler of Scandinavia. We visited many places over four countries, briefly, and for both of us a major highlight was Visby. And the stand-out hotel was this one. It is a simple hotel, elegant and well located in the old town. Our double room was one floor up, facing the road and the building...

I stayed in the top floor veranda room with a view of the Baltic and the town itself. Incredible, deck to yourself, total privacy, and, most importantly, quiet, in an otherwise somewhat noisy environment. My biggest concern, knowing the hotel shares a building with O'Leary's sports bar (downstairs and off to the side) was that this was going to be...

Stayed with husband and daughter in this lovely hotel in the center of Visby for 3 nights. Very cosy and beautiful small hotel, a lot of attention put into small details as candles in the public facilities during the whole day allthough middle of July. Friendly staff, at least in the reception, very elegant rooms with trendy decor. Great breakfast,...
