Bata Merah Boutique Hotel is an excellent budget hotel in Banting, Malaysia. The room are basic but clean. The hotel uses minimalist concept where the exposed red clay bricks were intentionally left unplastered. This hotel has a cosy blueprint, which lets you relax by providing basic facilities like TV, Air-Conditioned, Water Heater, open lounge area and surau for muslim. Bata Merah Boutique Hotel is strategically located at the heart of Banting town. We are just 30 minutes away from KLIA and only 45 minutes away from Kuala Lumpur. I've stayed for 2 days here....and i dont expect more than what i've paid....,everything was great, the room and hotel area are so clean....,near to shops in 3-5min walk.., since this hotel located at middle of banting town..., The staff was helpfull and suggesting nice & good places to visit at kuala langat...
P/s: tripadvisor what happen to your system...???, i tried to do the hotel rating...,but couldn't click more than one circle....?

We are cycle touring and accomodation has been pretty average so far. Bata Merah is different, clean, friendly and safe. They accommodated our bikes in the common area and helped us with all our bags. Definitely a good place to stay.

Great for people looking for budget hotel. It is just above guardian and near to 7e. Spent one night in standard room. But I could hear other people while in my room, so it was not very pleasant.. other than that everything is great for a budget hotel.

It is located right in the middle of the town, you can park your car behind, which is the housing areas and just walk there as parking there can be hard to find. The receptionist was really friendly, she provided us on nice food around the area, and some tips to our itinerary.
Room was big and with basic necessities, the bathroom was a little small though, but acceptable as it is a budget hotel. Would be great if they have better TV reception as most of the channels are poorly received.

We stay for 4days and 3 nights during our posting in hospital banting,just 5 minutes drive from hospital, near to any sort of restaurant, fast food, malay food even 7-11, friendly staff, can rent a room of 2 but dont mind how many people per room without charge, have cosy lounge, where we can eat and do our report. Also has surau to pray.

I booked through traveloka, since apparently they dont accept walk in customers. Called the hotel to confirm my booking.. They tell me i need to print the receipt and conformation email to check in... It's almost 10 p.m, kat mana nak cari kedai print... Keep in mind i was driving from penang... Really frustrating experience for me

Firstly, we're apologized for your personal inconvenience. Please don't made an impression to others for uncertain fact. We do accept walk in guest basis and for room reservation only than we preferred guest to log in to traveloka. Yes.., we do received a call to confirm room reservation from you. As usual, our front desk staff has politely explained certain T&C and important hotel policies. During explanation, in sudden you have gone to anger stage without clearly listening to our front desk assistance. Please take note that T&C and important hotel policies has been clearly stated at web page under general section and it is also stated at the booking voucher sent to you by traveloka that guest are required to present booking voucher during check in. In case of last minutes booking made by guest, we do understand the situation. Please keep in mind there is easier way..., you may screen shoot the booking voucher and email it to us via your SMARTPHONE DEVICE or you may used BLUETOOTH DEVICE to pair with our system at hotel front desk counter and we will assist an assistant to you. The issue is...., you never turn up to our hotel front desk counter even until 12a.m. Surprisingly we received whatsapp massage mentioned that you have called traveloka and made a booking cancellation. Urgently we have contacted traveloka and we have been informed by traveloka customer service that you have refused to check in to our hotel and insist to made a cancellation. Please do understand that T&C and hotel policies has it own purpose to served such as security, safety and etc. There is S.O.P to be follow by hotel staff to avoid any discrepancy happen. Once again we're apologized for the unexpected inconvenience that happen to you. We will keep improve in certain reasonable matter and we will keep positive. By the way thank you for choosing Bata Merah Boutique Hotel and have a nice day.

We stayed here on our stopover in KL. Unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience for us. It is 30 minutes from the airport, and the transfer to and from the airport was good. However, being located on a main road, our room was extremely noisy, and severely disturbed our sleep for the duration of the night; we could also hear the doorbell from our room. The staff were friendly, but ensure that you bring cash as there were no credit facilities. The room was clean but tiny, and we could not be provided with a top sheet for our bed. We paid 200r, including breakfast and transfers.

The room is just fine.. need renovation perhaps. and the location wise are just fair. but it was fine hotel for me as only stay for 1 nights. but love the scene at around there. to be away from hectic at KL.

I made my booking through agoda, and i had the worst experience at the hotel reception. upon reaching the hotel the reception was not letting me in and spoke to me via a speaker and without checking my details told me i had no booking done, i demanded for her to let me in and check my ID card and booking. she then allowed me in but then the reception demanded for 100rm deposit as in cash. bear in mind nothing is stated in my booking form for the customer to prepare cash of rm100. at that time i had only rm50 in cash and told the reception to take rm50 first and allow me to check in as its late or swipe my card for the deposit. but she insisted for cash and told me "if i dont have money, i can get out from this hotel" and didn't allow me to check in!! is this how a customer service level and a customer suppose to be treated!??
i went to ATM machine nearby to withdraw the money. coming back to the hotel, the manager or assistant manager i am not sure named OMAR, didn't allow me to step in the hotel. he told me my booking will be canceled and i am not allowed to check in and stay in the hotel. I told him i have my cash now why not u allow me to stay, its late and its hassle for me to find another hotel nearby at this wee hours in this small town. he still insisted and told me NO! they are not allowing me in. i would stress to all travellers, avoid this hotel at any cost. and if possible read through the many reviews availabe from online and many have experience the same RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE RECEPTION DESK! this hotel is new but their customer service is totally out and they are not supposed to treat their customer like this. bad bad. if u want to get risk of experiencing a very bad rude people managing the hotel,, please stay here of else get a better proper hotel nearby.
