Stayed in 2019, which merited a 5 star review and this time it was even more worthy of praise. I booked this time a superior sea view room, what a lovely room, great bathroom and shower, plenty of wardrobe and draw space, excellent air con, great balcony, spotless clean and modern and in excellent condition. The area is a treat, plenty to see and do, plenty of nearby places to drink and eat, the water taxi boats pull up near the hotel and are the best way to get up or down the coast, tickets are purchased near the hotel. There is also a shopping mall and a supermarket just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Breakfast was a delight, open from before 7am until I think 1030am, every possible thing you could wish for, perfect start to the day. I used the outdoor pool most days, great system in place to order food and drinks by scanning a QR code on your lounger table and then ordering from your phone. My drinks arrived within 5 minutes or so, really clever system. I also had food at the restaurant on the sea front, like a late lunch, top marks there. I had a massage in the spa, plenty of treatment choices and the area and rooms were very tranquil. If you stay here you are close to Dubrovnik for a day trip, a trip to the islands and a must do boat ride to Cavtat which is also stunning. Couple minor points, if travelling from the UK make sure you take a plug adapter as the hotel did not have any, the supermarket does sell them up the road, also I had room service one evening, but the food arrived uncovered, it would have been nice to just have a cover to keep it warmer and avoid it being contaminated. Overall I highly recommend this hotel, the staff also are icing on the cake, they are all very professional, polite and a joy to speak with.…
We first came to the Sheraton Dubrovnik during lockdown 2020 when the U.K. introduced travel corridors. We had an excellent trip so decided to come back. I was worried with the hotel now at 100% capacity that the standards of service and welcome we received might have slipped. I need not have worried. Once again we had an excellent time. Positives Breakfasts - wide variety and good quality, tables available at all times so no queues at later times. Pool area - busy but not overcrowded. Got sun beds every day. Concierge service - great recommendations of restaurants. Arranged nice flowers to be delivered. Arranged a great private boat trip. The Lugo Mare restaurant - fantastic food. Best in area with very professional service (thanks George). Little touches - staff all so helpful, snacks on arrival as returning guest, free birthday cake delivered unprompted. Reception staff accommodating of our requirement for adjoining rooms. Niggles Vary little to fault. The Piano Bar never felt busy in the evening which was a shame. Could be a great and lively area. It’s a shame the hotel loses the sun at 6pm as it’s just getting a bit cooler then. But not much they can do about this! Charging extra to watch the Premier League football in the room. But plenty of local bars. Overall another great stay. Would definitely return and recommend. It’s proximity to Dubrovnik is ideal. TIP: If you are coming to see the the Old Town of Dubrovnik I would be reticent to come in August again. It is crazy busy with the cruise ships back. We consider ourselves lucky to have been able to go in 2020 when there were virtually no tourists.…
What a wonderful property and most remarkably - an incredible service! Absolutely everyone I came in contact with always had a smile and was happy to assist. I traveled alone, being 6-months pregnant and the staff was so nice and accommodating to me - I was given a great room and so much attention! I had an initial hiccup with booking a room with points and corporate agents were not able to resolve my issue. I called the property directly and Ana has seamlessly solved it in no time. I highly recommend this hotel - it’s probably the best Marriott property all around that I ever stayed at, and I’ve been around :)
This was one of the nicest hotels we've ever stayed in. The location is stunning. Everything was clean and tidy, the staff was friendly and super helpful, the breakfast was great and the hotel restaurants as well. Spa was very nice.
Top of the Line First Class Hotel …. Excellent experience … always clean spacious rooms … very modern with all the necessary conveniences available ( no in-room microwave :(. The hotel staff were very friendly and knowledgeable… always ready to help / guide / direct and best answer any questions SHOUT OUT to Front desk Concierge assistants MONIKA , IVANA , and PAULA. 🥳 🥰🥰🥰 These ladies deserve staff of the Year and a $$$ bonus … kind , friendly, smiling … Beautiful examples of Croatian women 😍😍😍
Room was clean and modern. Staff was friendly and helpful location was great, with a big mall just a 5-minute walk away (which came in handy when the airline lost our luggage). The breakfast buffet was excellent, with lots of high quality choices. My husband and I both got massages at the spa and it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had (and I’m picky about massages). The only downside is that it didn’t feel like they went out of their way to give extra perks for elite members.
This hotel is a lovely hotel. rooms really nice and lovely views . We enjoyed the water taxi which took us into Dubrovnik and all staff were pleasant . but here’s the big but for us , full of families with children. the hotel pool area was frantic and so so noisy. This hotel needs an adult only area either pool or sunbathing area. The bars had children running about. It’s not the guests with kids problem, we should have researched a bit more and booked an adults only hotel. If you want a quiet relaxing holiday this hotel is not for you
An outstanding resort overlooking the sea and a short 20 minute water taxi ride into the historic town of Dubrovnik. Each of the deluxe rooms boasts tastefully designed decor with fast Wi-Fi and good guest amenities. Excellent fitness center. Friendly and efficient service in the main restaurant with a wide assortment of food at the buffet. I would definitely get a room overlooking the seaside and pool.
Absolutely lovely hotel, great reviews , fabulous service !!!! We absolutely loved it . This is like a 7 star hotel . We loved it . Several restaurants inside. Breakfast buffet was amazing. Reasonably priced at 12€ for Marriott bonvoy members .
Gorgeous hotel with friendly welcoming staff and modern clean bedrooms. Plenty of sun loungers around the pool and although not so many on the beach the staff are so obliging to find umbrellas etc for you. We paid for half board as it wasn’t much more expensive but it wasn’t clear that this is a buffet every night. Great choice (allergens not clearly signed though) but felt like eating in a canteen as the lights are so bright and there’s no soft lighting to differentiate the room from how it is for breakfast - some softer lighting and candles and background music would make a huge difference to the ambience. It would be five stars from us if this was the case. Lots of nice restaurants and bars close by and definitely recommend Ruzmarin (straight opposite the hotel ) - we ate there on 3 occasions. Definitely will go back to this hotel but not half board next time.…
