Excellent base for exploring the Lot region. A very warm welcome from owner Sebastien, and his great sense of humour "esprit Lot". Clean and comfortable room, and above all copious and delicious meals. Impossible to lose weight during a stay at the Domaine de Bel Air! A memorable stay. Highly recommended.

Domaine de Bel Air is a special experience of beautiful food and wonderful hospitality at the home of Sebastian just outside Bastit in the Lot Valley. The rooms are pleasant and the surroundings calm and tranquil. Loved eating the beautiful food each night with the other guests outside in the balmy evening. A truly unique French experience to be highly...

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate. Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer's lease hath all too short a date. Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often is his gold complexion dimm'd; And every fair from fair sometime declines, By chance, or nature's changing...

We arrived at Domaine de Bel Air after a very long drive from Provence and were warmly greeted by Sebastien and served a nice refreshing drink. He helped us with our luggage up the stairs, which was most appreciated. Our room was clean, beds comfortable and perfectly adequate for a good night's sleep. The building and property are lovely. Beautiful...

We choosed to stay in the "gite" instead of the B&B, since we travelled with our daughter (10 months old). Sebastian was very helpful and has good knowledges about the area and its tourist attractions. Sebastian also gave us homemade marmelad when we came and a typical homemade cake the last day. We enjoyed our stay :)

Arrived at our destination after a very stressful day to a warm welcome and a cool refreshing drink. Relaxed in peaceful surroundings and served a delicious evening meal, sitting down together with the other guests. The evening meals alone making the stay great value for money. Tasty breakfast with a variety of breads, cakes and jams, and yogurt to die...

If you are looking for an authentic French experience, this is the place. We had our dinners outside with 10-12 French people on holidays. Its a great chance to practice your French. The house and grounds are large and have lots of little shady places to hide away and read. It does feel more like a real farmhouse here rather...

We can only agree with previous reviews of Domaine de Bel Air La Bastit and our hosts Sebastian and his mother.Sebastian could easily be a Michelin starred chef but he is totally unpretentious although serious about his food and the local produce he uses (as well as local history). He was as gracious a host to us, a pair of...

There are few meals in life which are unforgettable, but the dinner at Belair was one of them. Fresh tastes which kept on surprising us - right til the desserts. And it was the best cheese plate I have ever seen, all from local farms. Sebastian was a great host, looking after our every needs and never too busy to...
