After facing a head wind for most of the trail, this was a very welcome sight. Mandy was there to greet us with a warm smile and a lovely room. Looked like rain, and we were even provided with a bike seat rain cover. (This little thing 'made my day'.) Overall, very happy with everything on offer.

What a little gem to find in Omakau. We stayed at Jacks Shed - the most gorgeous well appointed cottage for one of our nights whilst cycling the Otago Rail Trail. We were warmly greeted by Mandy who was very helpful and friendly. The cottage was so cute, with a lovely private courtyard, with the most gorgeous little garden and...

Omakau Accommodation has a variety of room sizes ranging from studios for couples to a three bedroom house for families. Mandy, the owner of Omakau Accommodation, couldn't have been nicer, and was very helpful at directing us to the attractions of the region. She has paid fantastic attention to detail in decorating her rooms, and they are warm and welcoming....

As I arrived after a day of biking my kids (who had already arrived well ahead of me) said "have you met lovely Mandy yet?" And yes 'lovely Mandy' has done a great job setting up this place and being a fantastic host. Such cool accommodation with the right set up for us all.

We arrived after a very hard days ride, and were welcomed and shown to our unit by Mandy. Friendly welcome, lovely comfy bed and good advice about where to eat and what to look out for in the area. Would've liked some "good old New Zealand butter" rather than the margarine with our breakfast toast, but all in all a...

Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. I totally agree with the Butter comment, so after discussing it with other accommodation providers, we will be doing away with the Margarine and give the Butter a go.

Stayed here overnight on our Otago Rail Trail cycling trip. Mandy was lovely and so helpful. Our room was like new, beautifully appointed and with our own little gated courtyard and even a bike stand. Beds were comfortable and room was spotless. Continental breakfast was very nice. All round a lovely place to stay.

This is a great choice for a place to stay while biking the Otago Rail Trail. It is easy to find next to the Omakau Hotel (world famous in NZ in the Speights ads). We were warmly greeted by Mandy's parents who made us very welcome. The room was beautifully furnished and more than comfortable with a lovely private deck...

This was a really bright oasis after a long day of cycling. Beds were comfortable, bathroom well appointed, we felt relaxed and comfortable. Continental breakfast was quite adequate. We had our own fenced off deck area and our cycles were secure in there.

Nice little private cottages, with space to store your bikes (we were on the rail trail). Clean and tidy with modern decor, very friendly and helpful staff (thanks Mandy!) Breakfast included (eaten in your cottage as there is no communal area).
