We stayed for 2 nights whilst travelling along the Garden Route. Just a short distance to Port Elizabeth, we used this guest house as an easy vantage point to the local attractions (PE & Addo Park etc). This guest house is an affordable self-catering premise and provides all necessary kitchen equipment and comforts needed for a quiet night in. We...

What a fantastic place to stay - right near the sea and very quiet! Our two dogs were welcome and we wish we could have stayed longer. Elaine's hospitality and sense of humour is fantastic and we felt right at home the minute we arrived. The rooms are very clean and well appointed and a short walk takes you right...

What an accommodating hostess/proprietor Elaine is. We had such a welcome when we arrived and seeing as we were a bit lost she took the time to meet us at Spar and showed us the way to her home for a week. Even though we lived in P.E. for 7 years we never embarked on this part of the Eastern...

I booked into Dolphins View on January 1st, 2015 for 3 weeks, it was my office in paradise. I am a Social Entrepreneur and Researcher from London, I spent the time in South Africa conducting a social enterprise called Football 4 Employability with rural communities and also engaging in field research relating to car guards. I was visiting South Africa as part of UK university research and development projects (an employability through sport programme and research on car guarding). I was accompanied by a research intern and we stayed at Dolphins View (DV) from 1/1/15 to 19/1/15. I have stayed at DV over 15 times in the past 6 years and absolutely love it. Our...

This is the second year I was able to stay at Dolphin's View Guest House over December! And for the second year it was Great! Even more so that I was able to take my 78 year old mom with that is in a wheelchair. 1) Our apartment was neat, clean and had no bad smells. 2) The hostess, Elaine...

What a wonderful stay at Dolphins View. We stayed for the weekend and it was so relaxing. My two fury children had a wonderful time, long walks on the beach and their own garden to relax in. Thank you Elaine for your warm hospitality. So nice to get such amazing service.

Despite all the reviews from guests saying Elaine is accommodating and friendly, we obviously got her on a bad day! The rooms were below standards, the furniture smelt funny, and was old and not very clean. The bathroom was disgusting. The kitchen smelt of moss, and every cupboard had a damp smell. Overall, I do not think its 3 stars....

I have now stayed at Dolphin's View several times and each time the welcome gets better. Elaine is the most hospital guest house owner there must be. Didn't quite see dolphins this time but I just love falling asleep to sound of the sea on the shore, so soothing.

Stayed here on a overnight business trip to PE. Rooms are nice, very clean and I had a excellent view and sunset from my room balcony. Breakfast was good as well. Was a very short stay but found it great! Will definitely return.
