The hotel is still new, hence, it's very clean and comfortable. Each room with flat screen tv and nice shower room. Price are higher during weekend though.

Stayed here a night whilst visiting Legoland in Johor. Cheap and clean. Better than expected. Basic amenities but it serves its purpose. A good and affordable alternative to the other hotels in Johor if you are here for a short trip and are mostly outside the room.

We chose The Fern Lodge as it offered a comfortable deluxe room for 4 people at a reasonable rate. The location of the hotel is really strategic as it was close to The Zon as well as Danga Bay, and there was a great variety of local food outlets nearby. Although my trip was short, I felt comfortable and would definitely choose to stay here again when I visit Johor next.

Stayed here for 2 nights. First of all, if you don't have your own transport it's going to be very difficult for you. Which is what happened in my case! There's no restaurants or convenient stores in walking distance. Especially at night and if you're alone. So please consider this factor. The room which was given to me was nothing like what I saw in the picture they posted. Then I got to know only the day I checked out- there was another wing where the rooms were newly refurbished. However my bad, the receptionist chose to give me the old room despite there were plenty of availability 😒. Personally I found the corridor of rooms itself very spooky. Its one of the worst experience I've had. Its very cheaply priced and cheap is also what you get for an experience.

I am very happy with the hotel and the staff. The service is top notch! We highly recommend this hotel... It is clean, comfortable, very nice, cheerful, flexible and helpful staff. No breakfast. There is a next door bakery, Tong An, that sells bread and offer buy 1 get 1 free after 8pm.

stayed here during my studies registration at University Technology of Malaysia in September 2014..i chose this hotel from member reviews and after checking out the hotel website..Please don't get cheated because what you see in the website is not what you get in real!! Check out my photos of the standard double room, then only decide!! The room is small, nothing to say about amenities..no electric kettle, no desk only a shelf is provided besides side tables, television is to small and the channels are useless...it is located at old shop and no views to enjoy except a poor condition shops behind of this hotel...RM 70/night is too expensive for this lodge...you can get better room cheaper than this..at last but not least i have no word to express about this so called hotel...my photos will speaks...

Stayed in this hotel in June for 4 nights . NO CLEANING of room for 4 nights , on the 3rd night I borrowed a broom from reception to sweep my room floor by my self .
I had to bring the towels to reception by myself to exchange for new ones.
October i stayed 2 nights . First I booked one night twin room and second night I extended stay with new booking. Requested room change to king bed at 5pm , but was denied . They told me to pay dayuse for the twin room for 5 hours and then they will change to king bed using my new reservation . Meaning I have to pay 2.5nights for a 2 nights stay and second night check out at 12 noon. I didn't agree and I know that they are cheating me .
Then at 9pm when I about to rest , reception lady called my room to say that they can change my room from first floor to 3rd floor.
I decline as I have lost trust in their management and was also worried that they will charge me additional charges upon Check out.
Again my room was not cleaned and I have to bring the towels to reception to exchange . The hotel management can verify by seeing their cctv whether did anyone came to my room to do any cleaning also can see me coming to reception for the towels exchange.
There is no supervisory staff at this hotel and as such the staff always tell u about rules and play with their handyphone only.
NO basic services provided at all .
I told them that I will share my bad treatment to their management and they don't care at all.
I don't like to complain but not providing a hygienic room and basic services is not acceptable.
I also don't want other guests to suffer the same especially when they have children.
