Stayed here a couple of days. Interesting place since it's runned by locals. There are a lot of things to do with the community and we did some tours: fishing in the sea, horse riding, kayaking and the sunrise & pancake tour. The lodge is...More

I stayed at Bulungula for 2 nights. We arrived on Sunday evening when it was already dark and dinner was served exactly on time. The rondavels are very simple with only beds in it. Beautiful view when you woke up. Enjoyed my stay

There is no road to the lodge, just a walking path and though it is grassy and passable on foot, not necessarily by vehicle. It is well worth the walk and there are plenty of helpers nearby. Cattle also grazing all over... More

When I was there, I saw a 4x4 car arriving right to the lodge, but I would suggest to check with the manager first. Anyway, it is not a long walk from the parking to the lodge. You can leave the camping stove and many... More

The toilets are long drops (you don't flush), but they are kept clean and are all inside one ablution block i.e. you don't have to walk out into the darkness to use them. They are fine. The showers are fired by little... More
